Faulty, unreliable, and the company is not helpful in solving the issue.
Just to be fair, I didn't rate this one star because the design of this flashlight is great. Lightweight, easy to carry everyday, low profile, yet very bright and functional. I would love it... if it worked right. Since I got it, I would notice a degradation in battery life after each recharge, and then in about a month the battery was dead. I purchased extra batteries (thinking it was just a bad battery) only to learn the flashlight itself had a defect that was causing it. At first, the manufacturer seemed helpful; they supplied me with a supposed fix by sending a new replacement part for free. But this didn't solve my issues, so much as mitigate them. The battery now degrades more slowly, but the light still loses its charge much faster than expected. Even if I don't use the flashlight at all after a full recharge, the batter will be drained after a couple days; less if I use it even for a few minutes. It requires daily recharging, and more than once it hasn't worked when I needed it because the battery was drained or nearly so.The level of unreliability is bad, but what's worse is the manufacturer's (Olight) attempts to fix it. I had to pay postage to send the defective light to them to fix, but it was never any better. I attempted to find out exactly what they did to fix it (did they replace a bad part, or just the battery?) but received no answer. While I appreciate their initial sincerity in trying to help me, I learned later that they don't respond so helpfully for a repeat problem, and their phone number only connects you to a recording telling them to contact by email.Unreliable flashlight, unreliable company, and after paying about $60 for something worse than a $10 flashlight I have in my house, I can't justify even using it after struggling with it for nearly 2 years.

Tiny trooper!
This is an excellent light. (I have the first generation light as well.) I carry this light every day. I charge it once every week or two, unless I use it heavily and charge it later that night. The magnetic charging base is innovative. Four brightness, shock proof, water resistant. Tons of performance from one of the smallest flashlights on the market.

Not what I thought it to be.
After having the light for some time it has issues with going into bright mode and the case is not water tight. I have found water in the case were the battery goes after using it in the rain. I do not recommend this product I recommend the Fenix R22 over this one. One of the reasons I found that the case was not water tight is because where the bottom recharging center piece does not seal.

Total disappointment
It stopped working after almost a year. Never dropped. Battery good. So I emailed the maker for advice..maybe the led bulb? No response what so ever. Good companies respond to customer inquires. This is obviously not a good company. Update: I sent it back to the manufacturer in China as they said in the instructions it could be returned for repair/replacement. THEY JUST RETURNED IT UNREPAIRED!

Look Elsewhere
Nice light, but it would not charge. I placed the rechargeable battery in and then placed it on the docking station and nothing. Tried for 3 days to get a charge, but zilch. Finally put a regular 123 battery in it and the light worked fine. Don't recommend if you are looking for a rechargeable light, look elsewhere. Didn't attempt to get it replaced, not worth the hassle.

5 stars all day long.
Simple, yet innovative! I've made the switch from a comparable light to this one for my EDC. It's got just enough features to handle any task, while keeping simple enough to access any feature at a moment's notice. Perfect size for just about any method of carry. I also have the larger, S30R II model, and love them both. I will be getting additional olights to have one in each of the vehicles, tool boxes, and around the house, all able to share the same charging docks. This will be my new go-to system for everything lighting!

Great value for the money
Great value for the money. The light takes a charge quickly and holds the charge for a long time. the quality of the body of the light is also high. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get the best lumen to size ratio of any light on the market. This thing disappears in your pocket (in a good way) and is sturdy enough to get knocked around a bit.

Great little light
Really like this little flashlight. It's amazing how bright a flashlight this small can be. The built in charging feature is very useful as well. Only thing I don't like is that there is too big of a gap from medium to high. Would of liked to see medium around 200 lumens instead of 100.
