Easy to apply. Slightly darken the color, but I like it! Used matted chalked paint it sealed it beautifully!

This stuff ruined my project. Did not dry clear at all. I had to repaint. Definitely an expensive mistake in terms of money and time.

After the first rain, which was 2 days after application, it was cloudy. Stayed cloudy.

Inferior product compared to other brands I have used

Using a roller, I applied a single coating of Hemway Clear Satin Lacquer to the wooden floor of my room. Without a doubt, it's a vast improvement over the floor, pre-coating. Before I applied the lacquer coating, the floor had a rather poor finish (the appearance and the feel of the floor when walking barefoot seemed pretty dismal) and I was concerned about the wood decaying or getting spoiled by the growth of molds as a result of moisture. After the coating, the floor has a nice glossy finish and feels quite pleasant when walking barefoot on it. I also don't have to worry about decay and mold growth due to the protective layer. What's more, it's pretty economical-it took me approximately little over a half of the lacquer available in a single can to cover the entire floor which has an area between 35-40 square meters.

Just finished stripping all the hallway and staircase wood and wanted a nice transparent protective coating. It does slightly darken pine but gives it a warm look. The first tin I bought wasn’t enough to do the job so ordered another, however, after shaking and mixing the contents I noticed after about 20 minutes that a rusty looking bead of the liquid slowly moving from the top of the container into the rest of the white liquid. Upon inspection it turns out the tin is rusting once exposed to air and the contents. I had seen other reviews with this happening so it’s not an isolated case. The manufacturer should be onto this immediately as the rust contaminates the product. I’ve still given the product a 5 star rating as it’s excellent but beware of rusting tins!

Both these products have the word Lacquer on the label. By definition these products are not lacquer. They are a water based synthetic polymer or vernis as the French people like to call it.When I confronted the people at Hemway their reply to me was " Our lacquers are neither nitro cellulose , acrylic lacquers or polyurethane synthetic polymer based coating. Our lacquer products are single pack air drying water based products".So - there you have it - they admit that their products are sold as a Lacquer but are not a lacquer by definition.

Lo consiglio vivamente. Il meglio sicuramente non si trova. Il prezzo di 1 l 39 euro assolutamente ne vale la pena. CONSIGLIO A TUTTI ...
