Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Splatter Brush, Black

I have always struggled with splatters. I love them, but never was good at making them. I bought this over a year ago, used it, and wasn’t impressed. It sat unused on my desk. The problem was how I was using it. I recently saw Tim Holtz using it and I tried it again and wow! This worked great. You hold it on edge, perpendicular to your surface and while holding the bristles with your other hand, slowly release them for perfect spatters. I am attaching a photo of how I achieved great results very easily.

I tried several different ways of doing stars on my paintings and this was by far the easiest to use with great results!

Is stiff enough to make the splatter travel onto the project. Fine spray allows you to add as much as you choose. The brush is easy to clean under water. Dries fast. I didn't think that I needed this brush but I needed this brush. It does give you the nice Tim Holtz splatter effect. Love it!

It creates some awesome splatter effects. It definitely takes some getting used to and isn't quite as easy as the maker's video makes it out to be. You've got to be super careful. The splatter will get everywhere. I found little specs in places that I wouldn't have even thought it'd be close to.

The splatter set came with the top and bottom separated. I bought super glue and fixed the issue. Other than that, the splatter makes great splatter effect on my watercolor painting. I highly recommend this splatter. I deducted one star because it came as broken.

This is such a fun addition to our art/craft arsenal (messy but fun). It works significantly better than the paintbrush we were using before (faster too). Simply dip the tip of brush and run your finger across the bristles or tap the wooden handle. I purchased it for my three teenage daughters galaxy print sensation; everything galaxy print! I've applied this cool technique to painted furniture, shoes, and textiles. You can use paint, ink, stain, clay slip, and much more.

Brilliant. Can get some very good affects. Bit pricey but I will use over and over so all good.

Good brush. Messy hands using it! Don’t go too hard, with it or you get the splats to big!

Opened the packet and the brush part fell off the handle when it arrived. Not what I expect from the Tim Holtz range. Have glued it but it's annoying when you have to fix something before you can use it.
