All the parts of the pillow seem very easy to put together. My daughter is half way with it. She's learning her first steps, so it's a good project to pick up for someone starting out! The needle is fairly big so easy to hold, and the fabric has holes already punched in.If you're looking for a starter project, this one is super cute! Can't wait to finish it and see the final result with the lights on and everuthing!

Bought this for me, an accomplished seamstress, to put together for my two year old granddaughter while she played around me. The intent was to engage her with the idea of crafts and sewing and producing something cute. My five year old grandson enjoyed watching while he also played around me. But OMG, this was a hard craft to put together, and my kiddies eventually lost interest! Took me too long to figure out and produce.

Very cute pillow. Not really age appropriate as far as difficulty. My 9 yr old gave up 5 minutes in as the directions are garbage and it’s quite difficult to push the flimsy needle through the heavy fabric. But I finished it and it turned out beautifully. A little small but that’s alright. Also not enough colored thread to finish properly. Well if you don’t make any mistakes you’ll probably be fine but with the directions mistakes are inevitable.

Its an easy diy project for kids. My 6 year old was able to do it themselves really got the hang of it. She loves her pillow. It was a fun craft that she can enjoy. The felt i think will attract fibers and such but i take the hand vac to it with no problems

This project ended up being made 95% by an accomplished seamstress. There is complicated laying, embroidery etc, that is definitely for older girls who have exposure to sewing. My intelligent and crafty 8 yo granddaughter was baffled and lost patience early on. Do not consider this project for anyone under 10-12 yo, unless they have significant sewing experience. Expect to help even older kids.

Loved this unicorn pillow! Finished pillow is beautiful! Easy to hand sew while watching tv, everything was included in package (except for batteries). My 5 yr old granddaughter not quite mature enough to assemble but I believe it would be perfect for a child with a little more focus and dexterity. Will buy more in future.

Directions could be more clear on the step by step my grand daughter is 7 almost 8 putting on the main hair n unicorn was in clear with out better direction,, we had to get a u tube video we found and do face time with her so see could see it better than what directions showed. She lost the needle so I had to order more .

Written instructions weren't really clear, but you have to look at the pictures and the picture on the box to figure it out. My 8 and 10year old granddaughters love them. They helped sew a little but were more interested in watching them made. It was worth the price and they are cute!
