Vegan pantry staple
I use this all the time to make vegan “meats”. I’ve tried many brands; this one works the best for me. I’ve also added to whole grain breads and works well in that, too!

Wheat Gluten
I add 2 tablespoons to each loaf of bread I bake. It really improves the texture and helps make it soft & supple. Cost is good compared to other brands; only takes a small bit and goes a long way.

Makes excellent pizza dough!
This is the best value on gluten flour that I've been able to find.It's powerful stuff. A small amount transforms unbleached all-purpose flour into high-performance bread flour! I found that 30g of gluten to 370g of all-purpose made an excellent substitute for my pizzas. I never would have been able to get the same level of chewiness and stretchiness without it.

Great addition to homemade bread baking.
After reading several blogs about adding vital wheat gluten to improve the texture of homemade bread, I decided to give it a go. I am happy to report that it did improve the stretch of my dough and the bread turned out with a lovely soft texture. It is now the second day since I made the loaf and it has maintained it softness. In the past, I’ve used to my bread only being good for toast on the second day. The blogs I read varied on the amount to add. I chose to add 1 tablespoon per cup of flour, I’m very pleased with the results.

Helps that sourdough spring even better
I live in an area that buying bread flour with a high protein content is costly. I make aLOT of sourdough bread and that takes a good amount of high protein flour. I substitute this Vital Wheat Gluten at 8% weight - so 92 grams of flour + 8 grams of gluten for every 100 grams of flour in recipe. For my flour it boosts the protein to 15%, which give a substantial boost to the spring in sourdough. Naturtonix has the best price that I've found and it stores beautifully in the freezer. You want better spring in your breads? Get some gluten!

Easy to use, good flavor
I made a vegan loaf with this product, and it turned out great; it held the spice flavor and had an excellent texture. Smooth and no clumping when I kneaded it.
