The thing about crimpers.....
is that there is no universal crimper. I'm retired from building automated machinery and several decades of industrial electronics. Many thousands of crimps, terminals, ferrules, in an emergency, even butt connectors.I have fixed hundreds and hundreds of bad crimps, so I now try to get good crimps or use something else. There are thousands of crimpers, from $5 to hundreds for hand crimpers. It is rare to get a perfect crimp except with a given terminal and a crimper made specifically for it. These are the hundreds of dollars types, not too practical for a few crimps. For good enough crimps, on a variety of terminals, you pretty much need a few different crimpers. For this exercise, what I wanted to find is a crimper that works with the name brand terminals I can get at the local big box stores, often GB. That way, when I need a _good connection_ there is a way. The terminals they throw in for free on various purchases are often worth free and not much more. The simple wire stripper squashers do about as well as anything on those. Maybe that's what they are made forThese work well with the GB and other premium terminals that have the thinner, translucent insulation. The bargain connectors with the thicker insulation don't work very well. So, I'll add these to the arsenal. I like the bend in the handles that allows the handles to be closer together when you are applying pressure. Many with straight handles need two hands because the handles are too far apart for one, at least an old arthritic one. The adjustment for crush is not very useful as they are too tight except on the loosest setting, perhaps it will be useful to adjust for wear. I haven't tried all varieties of terminals, I'm not working anymore so I won't see many types. But they met the goal to do one brand of terminals well. At least I don't have to settle for bad crimps.

Well made but not perfect
These were basically plastic with a very weak latching clip that deformed under load would be OK for very light use, felt a bit over priced for what you got. Were not likely to scratch deck and cabin on plus side.

Easy to use
The media could not be loaded. These work perfect for my purposes.I manly use standard insulated connectors like this: DEDC 480Pcs Insulated Wiring Terminals Wire Connectors Assortment Electrical Crimp Terminals Kit And closed end wire caps like this: Rextin 1000pcs Transparent CE1 Protective Closed End Wire Crimp Connector Cap (1000PCS) I found that the ratcheting action was pretty good out of the box, but was much nicer after oiling all of the moving parts. This makes putting terminals on very fast. I don't like to manually punch on terminals using the teeth typically found on the inside handle of electrician's pliers, as it takes much more time, and it's hard to judge the right amount of pressure to crimp it just enough to hold the wire in, but not damage/crack the jacket.I bought this along with Hi-Spec 8"3-in-1 Automatic Wire Stripping Tool,Crimper & Wire Cutter for Wires 10-24AWG (6-0.5mm) for Electrical Repairs&Re-wiring,Installing Speakers, Lighting,Home Appliances & Electronics Copper. . Both are great tools at a super low price.

Works great but not good for tight spaces.
I was trying to connect wires between my car door and the body and this one was too big. When space available it worked great as long as you compress the connection far enough, otherwise it would not open easily.

Great Crimpers
Work really good. I have used them several times. Best insulated crimpers I have owned. Would highly recommend.

Works fine
Works fine; took me a bit of practice to get the hang of the release mechanism.
