Rhythm game fans rejoice!
Superbeat: Xonic is a lot like its predecessor DJ MAX Technika Tune which I loved and enjoyed playing on my Vita. Superbeat is playable on both the PS VITA and PSTV. I've used more on my Playstation TV than Vita because I've been enjoying the music on my surround sound. Which, by the way, sounds magnificent. There is no down quality on listening to it on large loud speakers. Just as well there are no lag moments that I've experienced playing on my PsTV. Depending on your tv, it's lag time input, you'll definitely enjoy this on screen using a dualshock 3 or 4. The music is mainly kpop-ish much like DJ MAX but does not include any familair kpop groups. For example, DJ MAX had a few songs and music video from one of my personal favorites, KARA. I have enjoyed the songs included in Superbeat. I don't have much to say for Graphics, as it various bright and dark, with effects that shine and pop as music plays. It's great and I'd say personally I have no issues with it. So far, there are only 5 dlc packs available. Unfortunately, that's all appears will be. They are geared towards more personal for fans of Arc System Works music, such as Guilty Gear and their previous rhythm theme game Magical Blaze. In conclusion I'd more than recommend this to fans of Rhythm games and kpop fans, but to any gamer looking for something new as the challenge in this game is worth playing each song again and again.

DJMAX by any other name...
If you wanted more DJMAX and Technika isn't doing it for you, this is your answer. I'm not saying that Technika Tune was a bad game, but the forced touch controls aren't my favorite. Xonic features more traditional controls with the notes moving toward stationary timing bars which you react to by pressing buttons at the right time. It also has the option for touch controls, but it's less obstructive than Technika: you can reach the controls while holding the system naturally, and your hands will not get in the way of seeing upcoming notes. It's a small evolution in gameplay over DJMAX Portable 3, but if you get used to having notes scroll out from the center instead of vertically then it's comfortingly familiar.Of course, a rhythm game is nothing without the music, and here as well anybody looking for more DJMAX will be right at home. Xonic is developed by many of the same people as DJMAX was, including the ones like Planetboom which contributed to both the music and the production. Other prominent artists from previous DJMAX games, such as NieN, 3rd Coast, Mr. Funky, and Paul Bazooka, are also present.

Not a $40 game
Songs are great in this game but the visuals are very generic. I mean, this game has no structure, no flair, nothing to look at or enjoy. It reminds me of a free-to-play cell phone game. The gameplay was designed to screw you over with the sloppy note patterns, you can't find a rhythm. It's not worth the full price, I'd pay $15 max if I knew better. Persona Dancing All Night had a similar but way better gameplay mechanic than this game.

Must own!
Ahh, Superbeat: Xonic. Oh how i love you!Superbeat is a must own on the vita if you like any sort of music genre games. This game is amazing and the soundtrack and gameplay is excellent! From the makers of the DJ Max series, you get a game that is different from the DJ Max psp games and Technika tune, yet somehow keeps the same spirit of those games. The interface itself is somewhat similar to Persona 4 Dancing all night with the buttons, except on the highest difficulty, where L+R are introduced. You can also opt out to use the touchscreen to do the same functions as well at any given time (so you can switch back and forth between buttons and touchscreen if you desire). The game gives a brief instruction on the controls, but it summarize the system very well. All in all, must own game. Very fun! Very flashy! and Very amazing songlist.

A Must Play for the Vita: Best Rhythm Game of All Time
Honestly one of the best rhythm games I've ever played. All of the songs (almost, all at least) are extremely memorable and catchy, from the metal to the jpop to the kpop to the techno and everything in between. The hit sounds are extremely satisfying, and it provides a very fair learning/difficulty curve. There is also an extensive high score system and "world tour" mode that will keep you playing and perfecting your skill for hours to come. This is a must play for the vita.

It's a pretty cool rhythm game
Quite a lot of catchy songs, works well on PS TV, addictive gameplay. The stages themselves aren't particular attractive, so if you prefer the screen-filling style of say, the Hatsune Miku games with the notes flying everywhere, this won't be like that. Much of the selection is K-Pop with some English and a few J-Pop tracks. Some of the timing can be brutal. I can barely make it past 4 stars, but patience and practice is key I feel. I'm quite new, awful at and play these rhythm games very infrequently and only casually mind, so you may hate or love this more than I do. I just wanted some variety in my PS Vita collection and decided to pick this up before it became rare to find physically. Haven't tested this on my PCH-1000 OLED model, only on a PS TV.

Quality Rhythm Game.
Good game. It's a Japanese game... and it shows. With the little anime character sequence we get at the beginning of the game, and of course, the music it's apparent that this game was made in japan . There are some English songs, but they're mostly in Korean and Japanese, a lot of it is electronic music with crisp and clear notes and sound. The graphics are also clear and crisp, very modern light-show style. The game is too hard for me to be honest, I'm not very gifted at typical rhythm games. The game is still fun enough for me to keep playing and practice some even though I'm quite terrible, the music is good, the graphics are pretty, and when I play easy songs I enjoy myself.I am glad I purchased this, its one of those games that you can play seriously for a long period of time, play for a few minutes casually while on the bus, or just one quick track or while you're on the toilet, instead of playing something pretty mediocre like candy crush or angry birds.Definitely recommend to any rhythm game connoisseur, electro music enthusiasts and Japanese anime fans.

Fun Rhythm Game for Vita
Great game! The music and the game play is very enjoyable if you like rhythm games. If you enjoy dj max this game has somewhat of the same feel to it.I just wish it had a bit more reason for me to replay songs that I do well on. Like a system where I get currency for beating songs and I can buy unshockable like additional songs/ portraits.
