Excellent product, great value, great seller
I have a 2000 BMW 323i 4-door sedan. About 10 months ago, the HVAC starting acting up and finally quit. I bough and install a blower motor resistor (also called final stage unit - FSU) from one of the local major chain parts stores. The unit worked OK, but did not push the HVAC at the highest fan speeds as strongly as the original part, but I decided to live with it. Well 10 months later, the HVAC started acting up again with the biggest problem being the unit continuing to run even after I turned the car off!!! I order this URO brand part and installed it. The HVAC now runs just like new!!! This URO part is great quality, the price was a bargain compared to dealer OEM part, and the seller shipped part quickly. I highly recommend this product and seller if you need to get a new FSU.

For this price, would I get quality?
I've got a 2002 BMW 325i sedan with 269,000 miles on it. Since last summer, I had times when the fan wouldn't work- usually after driving , parking, then starting again an hour or two later. And the "Auto" setting on the climate control? Never seemed to do anything. I wasn't sure if this was the part that I should replace, but enough other people in BMW forums had described the same symptoms. For the price, I was willing to give it a try.And I waited to install it after I bought it- it sounded like this was a one of those PITA projects. It wasn't. I've replaced my bimmer's valve cover gasket, the oil filter housing gasket, the alternator- this is much easier to do. I may have taken an hour or more, didn't really keep track, but it wasn't bad. Yes, it looks a lot different than the old part where the aluminum heat sink prongs are. But I've had it in the car for about six weeks now, been through the warm/freeze cycles of weather here in NC, and the blower now works right. Whether I'm running heat or A/C, I can set the temp, make sure it's on auto, and the climate control stuff works like it should. I don't know how to weed good suppliers from bad on BMW parts, but Uro made this one right. If that changes, if it fails, I'll post again.I wouldn't put off the project if you are thinking about it- it's not that hard, it's not that expensive, and it definitely improved something that didn't work on my car.

Works great, does not look like original.
I thought I may have purchased the wrong part for my 1999 328i. (E36). Although this resister is shorter and has more heat sinks, it bolts up and the connector fits correctly. On my car, this was located above and to the right of the gas pedal linkage. Three screws and three connectors will remove the access panel located near where your knees would be. From there you will have to do a little contorting on your back to remove the connector and two torx screws holding the resister in. The shorter design makes it easier to install.

Gone through several other brands so this one is doing great.

Failed after 6 months.. -- Great Warrenty !!! --
This part is an after market part. Its build quality does not reflect the OEM. I was pleased when the new part was installed, it worked like a charm. Unfortunately after 6 months the part failed, HVAC fan remained on and the caused the battery to drain. This problem is well documented in the bimmer and land rover forums. I have requested a warranty replacement, the manufacturer specifies 24 months, hopefully they will honour it. -- UPDATE -- I contacted the manufacturer, they sent a replacement within 3 days, excellent customer service! Hopefully this one will last a little longer..

It worked for less than a day
Yep. It worked PERFECTLY... for 2 hours. What a fantastic repair that was. I guess it might be true that they don't make them like they used to. Oh, and the next aftermarket unit that I bought from, um, (F)ive (C)ount (U)nnamed Euro also lasted a mere few days before acting sporadically. Buyer beware with these things. There's a reason the proper units are sold out, it seems... Sadly.

Perfect fit and appears to work well. Price point is excellent. Familiar with Uro replacement parts, so this was a good choice. Arrived quickly.
