Czech Two-Hole Superduo Beads 5.5x2.5mm Jet Metallic Suede Blue 22 Gram Tube

Metallic Sued is one of my favorite Superduo bead colors. It is a dark blue, but will not be confused for black. The texture is not glossy shiny, but it has a little more shine than a matte finish. I've included a picture of a simple bracelet and earrings using these beads. I think the picture makes them look a little more blue than they look in person. The product image is closer to what you see.For planning, this bracelet has two rows of SuperDuos with copper 11/0 beads between them and I used 100 Superduos for 6 inches of beads. The bracelet is a little longer by the time the end beads and clasp are added. The beads in the center are 8/0 seed beads with a right angle weave connecting them with the 11/0 beads and SuperDuos.The SupderDuos are very uniform in size, which is probably why they usually cost more than the Czech Twin two-hole beads. For beads with a matte or semi-matte finish, I find is especially important to check that both holes are open. Sometimes the coating will fill the hole and that can be frustrating when a lot of beads have been sewn. I sometimes have success using a small awl or heavy needle to punch out the excess coating. I have also used a bead reamer. Sometimes it works and sometimes the bead breaks. Just something to watch for.
