The ankh, also known as key of life, the key of the Nile or crux ansata, was the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "life". The Egyptian gods are often portrayed carrying it by its loop, or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest. It represents the concept of eternal life. The symbol gained popularity over the last couple of years and it is now also used for eternal love, or anything that has to do with things forever lasting. This listing is for a red ankh with a jewel in the middle, it is a beautiful stained glass ankh cross sun catcher. The stained glass ankh suncatcher is a lasting gift, it is made by me, an American artisan and not in some Chinese workshop.
