Video quality good, but issues with motion detection
The video quality is fairly good with indoor lighting. However the motion detection is horrible. It is very inconsistent. When reviewing the video there are huge time gaps where it obviously was not recording despite it being obvious that action was was occurring prior to the start of the video clip and still going on at the end. I had one sequence where I got 3 random one minute clips over a 30 minute period where I had overwatch camera installed. From the overwatch camera it was obvious that during most of the 30 minutes there was more than enough motion that it should have been picked up but it did not. It also appears to have a timeout feature where it stops motion detecting and shuts off if no motion was encountered for a few hours (despite having a 12 hour battery attached). Continuous recording is much better but reduces the battery life to 3-4 hours.

BEWARE! The supplied control fob is a Universal Learning Remote. !! DON'T EVER HOLD DOWN THE TWO TOP BUTTONS !!
This device can only be operated by using the supplied remote control to invoke the various functions of recording videos and taking snapshots. This is paramount! If the remote control for any reason fails to work properly, there is absolutely nothing that can be done with it and the entire thing becomes a useless piece of junk that will do absolutely nothing. I found this out the hard way. Because the written instructions that came with it made no sense to me and it took too long for the Seller to get back to me with additional instructions I was eager to use it ASAP and therefore decided to to use a trial-and-error approach to pushing the four buttons on the remote. Since it was sold as a "DIY" kit I decided that experimentation with it was entirely appropriate, and it would be fun. My background is that of a software developer who loves an intellectual challenge. After all, there were just four buttons on the remote, so what could go wrong. Alas, if you look closely at the controls there is no RESET button. That is a fatal flaw. The first day of experimentation was quite a bit of fun. I was able to take snapshots and the JPG images were of excellent quality. But the movies in AVI files were low quality and I thought that maybe I needed to set a higher resolution because they most surely were not 1080p HD. I was also unable to reliably start and stop the recording of movies. So that led me to try pushing more than one button of the four (A B C D) at the same time. That was the end of it. The last thing I did before the device died completely was pressing the two top buttons, A and B, and holding them down. Nothing I could do would bring it back to life. I checked the battery voltage in the remote and it was fine.So I tried searching the internet for information on the remote control and I found thousands of listings for what's called a universal learning remote control. They're all over Alibaba and DHGate, etc. Very few of those listings gave instructions but I learned that the remote is put into "learning mode" by holding down the two top buttons, which is exactly what I had done with it just before it died. Because I did not know that Seller had sent me a universal learning remote I had no idea that my noodling around with it could, and did, reset the stored codes in the memory of the remote control. Search for "universal learning garage remote 433 MHZ" and you'll find thousands of listings with many showing the exact same A B C D buttons and a blue status light. Amazon won't let me post an outside URL, so here is one example of the description of the remote control that comes in this package.---------------4-Channel RF Wireless Remote Control Duplicator for Garage Doors Gate Doors Alarm Systems Etc. It's OK
this cam sometimes work fine sometimes not. The unit I received was different not only from the picure showed here but also from the manual that came with it. The manual needs more details about how to use it. As the other review said, this one can only be operated by remote.

Little complicated but it works well
Good quality, but it's a little compacted to use. Great for security though!

The remote I think is the best feature. I don't think the manual is very ...
The camera lens must been damaged during shipping part of it is discolored. I didn't return it because of the price it still worked. The battery last as long as indicated. Which is a big Plus. The remote I think is the best feature. I don't think the manual is very user friendly but its not that hard to figure out
