My Dad loved it!
Purchased this for my Dad as a birthday gift and he loves it! He has mentioned the DVD a few times since I gave it to him saying how cool it was and how much he enjoys it! He’s a novice when it comes to trains, and just admires the steam engine train so much. The power, size and history behind them. He thinks they’re so cool! So it’s definitely great for anyone just getting into steam trains

A family favorite
Got this for my 7yr old train loving son... it turned into an entire family favorite. 6 DVDs equaling 728 minutes (12.13 hrs) of American Train history. Love it!!!

My husband and I enjoy this set of train DVDs. Covers a wide variety and includes lots of older footage. Wish the classic steam passenger trains still ran.

I love trains and this disc is loaded with everything railroad.

Good Material - Poorly organized
The first disc is great. Interesting segments, great pictures, able to select segments individually. By the last couple of discs, many repeats of content on first disks and unable to select (bypass) individual segments.

OK, but not a modern documentary.
Not very interesting for us. KInd of like watching old 50's documentaries. Dry. Didn't keep our interest. Someone who's really into trains would probably like it. We just thought it would be like a modern documentary that would be fun to watch. Too dry for us.

My husband was a railroader and loved the dvd. recommend it to anyone that is a railroad buff.
