SpeckProducts MightyShell Case for Samsung Galaxy S6 - Retail Packaging - Black/Gravel Grey/Slate Grey

I received the Speck MightyShell case and it was a bit bulkier than what I was expecting. It doesn't have no slip "grip" sides, but more of a slightly roughened exterior that is more hard "plastic-ey" like. I had a Speck case before for my Samsung 3, but that must have been the CandyShell. I loved that case as it was smooth but not "plastic-ey" and I could slip it in my pocket easily. It had a nice feel to it. That being said, the Samsung 6 is a larger phone, so it just doesn't fit my hand as well as my old 3 with the Speck case on it. I have dropped my phone once now and it didn't break and that's the important part. That is what I bought it for. It seems like it should hold up well. I did put a Stallion screen protector on it, too.

I previously had a CandyShell Speck case for my Samsung S6. I purchased this one after the other one wore out. Very nice case. It fits so tightly that when I removed it from my phone the glass screen on my phone cracked in the upper right corner! I very well may have flexed my phone too much trying to remove the case. Make sure you are careful installing and removing the case. I'd recommend starting at the bottom by the home button for removal since it has the most give on the case.

Perfect case for me! I had been through a few cases but this is the winner. Worthy of its price as it lives up to its "mighty" name. Very well-made and sturdy. It might have made my S6 slightly, very slightly bigger because of the all around the edge rubber protecting it but it does not bother me. It is actually the most loved feature. I have Writer's Dystonia which makes my hand weak and occasionally tremulous and the rubber provides me a good grip or grasp when I'm holding my phone. It is still slim looking when looking side ways. Back is smooth which makes it easy to slip in and out of pockets. I love it and I am thinking of getting the orange and give my black one to my husband as he is liking my case so much:)

It was as advertised, perfect fit for his phone. A little gift, big pleasure. I recommend it.

Good Protection

As cases go this is only slightly above average. It is a single piece with a hard backing and soft edges/corners, and the design is not aesthetically nauseating. It fits reasonably snug, it connects with the buttons well and you only have to mash a little harder than you might otherwise. The edges raise up about 2 mm above the screen so I think would protect from a screen facing drop. On a scale of "Faberge Egg" to "M1 Abrams Tank" I give this case "Sturdy Motorcycle Jacket" level of protection.My biggest gripe really is that for the price you could definitely get a more impervious level of protection and quality. I think this is a $20 case masquerading as a $40+ case. If you buy this you can expect a quality case but at a cost you'll probably regret.

I've had this for five months with absolutely no problems. The inside rubber isn't pulling away from the hard outside at all for me. I must have dropped my phone hundreds of times and this case has still protected it. My phone still slides in and out of my pocket, which is important to me, yet is also easy to grip and not slippery in my hands.
