I was a bit dissatisfied with this equipment! I was not able to access the FOB for from the on board computer on my car. It would not read the pin code so I could program my new keys. For all consumers this will work if you have the four digit FOB code that was issued from the factory when car rolled off the line. Since I did not have an original key that was still working I could not get the FOB code . There was a solution which was to take your title for your car and a picture of to your local dealer parts place for your model car for example - Dodge Charger - which was my model. The dealer will look up in their computer data banks and retrieve your personal vehicle FOB code for about $35.00. This code with this equipment will now allow you to download that code to your new keys. Once I entered this code I was able to code both of my keys. Both keys work perfectly. With the cost of this equipment and the keys I purchased from Amazon and the cost for the FOB code I purchased at my dealer I saved $200.00 doing this myself. I would recommend investigation on other electronic equipment that will be able to be able to get the FOB code from your vehicle without having to purchase the code from the dealer saving the $35.00. This product said it would program a new key fob for my pontiac but it will only do keys

Do not buy this product it dont work at all,after try on several cars with not result. Try to update with pc plug the cable provided with scan tool did not connect so i open scann tool see if any missing inside and find out. The plug its fake its not wire to mother board inside scann tool so i trash it. After try to return to seller and they told me this was not a returnable item.
