Amazing variety of style should appeal to all
The media could not be loaded. This book is actually much better than I thought. Probably because I'm looking at them in full size instead of the small web images I found on the Internet. It has a very satisfying thickness at 320 pages. The dust jacket is smooth, nice to touch, non-glossy over a soft cover. The paper stock is thick matte and the colour reproduction is wonderful.Hundreds of artists have come together to contribute Street Fighter art for the book. As a result, the variety in terms of style is amazing. Some of the styles included are manga, realistic caricature, chibi, game art, vector and many other.I've read of artists who blogged about their work being rejected. I can understand why because the quality of artwork in this book is very high.UDON has also allowed artists to promote their work on their individual blogs. Over the past few months, I've seen a lot of artists blogging about their art and the book. It's really great to finally see the book in print. This art book belongs to the you-can-enjoy-it-even-if-you're-not-a-Street-Fighter-fan category. It's well worth every single cent I spent, and I'm not a Street Fighter fan.(More pictures are available on my blog. Variety of style and amusing anecdotes.
I love these tribute books. Do not hesitate on this because there isn't art by Street Fighter alumni in here. This thing is filled with art by professionals and a few amateurs but they are all exceptionally talented. Many of them are animators or concept artists. Some of them actually do have Street Fighter experience and work at Udon. What really makes this book shine is the variety of styles and concepts. Every piece is something you can look at and think about for a while, musing over the techniques used or what the artist was trying to convey or just delighting in the piece. Another treat is every couple of pages there is an anecdote by the applicable artist about his/her experiences with street fighter in the past. Many of these bring back fond memories to the days when Street Fighter 2 dominated the arcade scene. You don't need to be a Street Fighter fan to adore this eclectic collection, but it helps.

Street Fighter + Incredible Art = Pure Awesomeness
First of all, this book exceeded my expectations. Not that my expectations were low, I just wasn't prepared for the caliber of artistic talent that this book contains. Although most of the works are fan art, many of the artists are professionals, including comic book artists, painters, anime artists, and graphic designers. One of the first things I noticed upon skimming through the pages was the wide range of styles. Some of the art is incredibly realistic while others are cartoonish and funny. Whichever the style, every piece is incredible and uniquely its own.Another nice touch is the occasional passage written by an artist. These passages usually involve the artist explaining his/her connection to Street Fighter and how the game and/or the art has influenced his/her life. This book is a great gift for fans of the Street Fighter videogames. However, even someone unacquainted with SF can enjoy it. Hats off to Udon and the great artists that brought this book together. This will be on my coffee table for a while!

A fantastic art book for a wonderful series ruined by poor binding.
The book is amazing; a lot of work was put into the printing. The title is embossed on the front cover and on the back is 4 character's faces in between embossed black. The pages will sometimes be made of material different from the rest of the book for that specific page. The art is wonderful (although I have complaints for a few of them), and overall I can't really say there's anything else significant about the quality of this book.Except for one; the binding is very bad. After just one hour the binding started to fall apart. It's a huge blemish on an otherwise perfect printing.I'll be sending my copy back to get another one and not unseal it.

Brilliant art and fond memories
Few video game franchises have both the history and relevance of Street Fighter today. It's truly timeless, with so many incarnation sparking so many different emotions for so many different people. This book captures that feeling perfectly. It's a blend of gorgeous artwork and raw emotion. Some of the artists clearly have a passion for Street Fighter and most have very strong nostalgia for the series. This is perfect for anyone's library or coffee table. And if you're any kind of Street Fighter fan, you owe it to yourself to snag a copy.

Interesting art styles, great coffee table art.
I have loved St. Fighter since it came out in the early 90's. Every page of this book has beautifull pictures of the characters. Almost every one is done in a different art style which makes them interesting. Most of the art was computer generated but there are a few that look like they were done in oil, acrylic and pencil. I would have liked if there were more but the CG stuff is striking regardless. Great coffee table art. I highly recommend.

So so...
I received this book in the mail today, only to be disappointed at what I found inside. Yes, there's a large variety of artwork to be seen, but I have to question why some of them were even included. From the cartoony style to the more serious style, you can't get bored with each page. However, some of the art just isn't that great. The other downside I have found is that not all the artwork even includes certain street fighters, such as Fei Long or T. Hawk. Of course, you have Ken, Ryu, and Chun Li on many pages, but finding your favorite character might be a bit of a let down.If you want a good Street Fighter/Capcom art book, I'd suggest Udon's Art of Capcom instead of this one.

From many fans across the world
Udon produces a lot of Street Fighter and Capcom media especially artbooks. This one is unique as it is made from the contributions of many different artists around the world that have grown up loving Street Fighter. A varied mix of artstyles and artist with their own spin on the world warriors.I loved going through this book and seeing the some of my favourite artists pop up in the book. They've even included links to their portfolios or social media so you can follow any artists that catch your eye.If you're looking for some old school Capcom artist stables like Kinu Nishimura or Bengus then check out SF25, for Udon's in-house artists it'll be the Art of Capcom series but for Zangief drawn by Gabe from Penny Arcade or Ibuki and Makoto enjoying an ice cream by Bryan Lee O'Malley (Scott Pilgrim, SnotGirl) and other amazing artists then this is the book for you

it's all artwork of high quality and I personally really enjoyed reading through it
As has been said by other reviewers, there is a real mix of art styles in here that make the book a bit of a love/hate affair. The fact that it is all fan-submitted work may also be off-putting but despite the varying styles, it's all artwork of high quality and I personally really enjoyed reading through it. There are also short written sections accompanying select pieces of art where the artist recounts their memories of Street Fighter and how it got them drawing. As a Street Fighter fan I really got a lot out of this book and as an aspiring artist myself, it's quite insipirational too.The only reason that I can see to NOT recommend the book is if you absolutely must have nothing other than official art but if you enjoyed the Darkstalkers Tribute book or like looking at the very best quality fan art then I can't recommend Street Fighter Tribute enough.

An Eclectic Mix of Street Fighter Art
This work is in many ways the most intriguing and infuriating work that Udon has put together. On one hand it is an exceptional acheivement to have brought so many international artists together to produce a 20th anniversary tribute to Street Fighter, a computer game that has created a whole sub-genre in gaming. On the other hand there are several elements of this work that disappoint or at least don't meet expectation.First of all, this is a project that UDON ran, and the majority of the art work is not by Udon artists, so for those who have fallen in love with UDONs artwork in streetfighter it is disappointing not to have more artwork from their own in-house team. Secondly the production value for the work is completely different from some of UDONs previous offerings, it is less anime than it is a concept artbook and the actually production of the book itself is not of the same quality of "eternal challenge" or their collected works, it reminds me of the presentation of the animated movies artbook. It was also disappointing that not all the characters got a fair look in, with the art, so Ken, Charlie, E.Honda all lost out while there is an excessive amount of Chun Li and Blanka pictures (though not in the same pictures...)Anyway enough ranting, perhaps this work is actually a victim of the high standards that UDON set themselves. Some of the artwork is extremely clever and appeals to the artist in you, while others are classic street fighter action.I will say only buy this if you are a real fan and are interested in the art culture of Street Fighter as it is not a typical UDON production.

A great tribute to the art of Street Fighter, well worth adding to your collection. The slip case is also a nice touch
