Did not work for me in Win 10, but neither did Win 10 itself. Works well so far in Win 7.
** Second review 12/11/2015 about 7 pm local time. **First off, please note that I have increased the number of stars in this review to four, and my technical issues have been resolved for now.In my earlier review, one of my complaints was Soundbot's tech support options. I still think more options are necessary than e-mail, but the good news is that they reached out to me by email on 12/10 just about an hour or so after this review went on-line. I'm going to assume the best for now, that they were responding to my email request for help. That said, they asked me for three items in that email: 1) First and last name, 2) Copy of the receipt, and 3) Current Shipping address. My advice to them would be to explain on their support web page what information customers need to send. That would expedite things a lot. What about the technical issue I had? Well, after spending many hours with Microsoft tech support, I decided to roll back my system from Windows 10 to Windows 7. The reason was software I needed on a regular basis had stopped working after the upgrade. But even after rolling back from 10 to 7, I found that many of the drivers and apps on my computer refused to work properly. So I took the next step and restored my computer using the Asus factory installed partition: I went all the way back to a fresh start. After all that, and it took basically all day, I re-installed the Soundbot dongle using the Win 7 driver from the miniCD. So far it seems to work fine. It's only been one day, but at least I had zero issues to report during installation and zero issues since then. (Full nitpicky disclosure: the blue light indicating the dongle is active intermittently turns off. But when I notice that, I run some audio, and the headphones are still getting sound. And sometimes the dongle is lit up even though there is no audio. So nothing that has affected my bluetooth usage so far.)I'm still not able to give five stars because in my experience the dongle failed on Win 10, and I cannot recommend it to Win 10 users. But I ditched Win 10 itself, and the dongle has worked as advertised in Win 7, so that should count for something.** End of second review 12/11/2015 about 7 pm local time. **** Start of first review 12/10/2015 about 2:30 pm local time. I plan to update this review if and when I hear back from Soundbot **First reason for the single star: device was advertised as Win 10 compatible. But Win 10 seems to hate this device. When I first attempted to install the drivers that came on the miniCD with the product, I was told I had to uninstall my previous installation of Bluetooth drivers. I used to have a Bluetooth 4.0 dongle from another vendor, and that was installed before I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10. So I did uninstall it. When I reran the installation program, Win 10 gave me alert after alert advising me not to install the driver. But I overrode the warnings. When installation finished, the device would not run. I went into Win 10's device manager, and I let Windows update the driver on its own. After that the device seemed to work just fine. I could connect to my bluetooth headphones, and reconnect, too, when necessary (such as after using the headphones with a different device). That was yesterday. Today the device has not worked well at all. Sometimes the blue light flashes. Sometimes it is just dead.Which brings on the second reason for one star: poor customer service options. My only option was to email Soundbot's tech support. No chat, no phone number, nada except for email. And Soundbot's tech support has not replied to my email at all so far, not even an automatic email to acknowledge receipt. So far I am very disappointed. The packaging asks users to contact tech support before returning the product to the store. If I do not hear from them in a reasonable amount of time, I will definitely seek a refund. At this time, I would advise anyone with Windows 10 to try other brands/products first.** End of first review 12/10/2015 about 2:30 pm local time. **

WINDOWS 10 USERS PLEASE READ TO FIX BLUE SCREEN ISSUES
If you are having problems getting this to work with Windows 10 it is due to broad comm and windows driver conflicts. Hopefully these issues are fixed in the future I can't really say much about it I'm not a software engineer, however this is what you need to do to fix this.1. go to device manager by pressing the windows key on your computer and typing in "device manager" uninstall ALL blue tooth drivers you have currently and restart your PC.2. Install the sound bot drivers from the included mini CD (yes it will work in your full sized DVD player. or install directly from sound bot's website.3. after instillation go to control panel (you must go to the standard control panel (look to screen shot for reference if you are on the new windows 10 uninstall programs it wont be there) and click on (uninstall a program) go to the W section everything here is alphabetized. You are looking for Widcomm Bluetooth driver in here right click on it and select uninstall restart your computer.4. press the windows key and search blue tooth settings and pair your devices you are good to go from here. Now for the actual review the only reason I put 5 stars here is so my review can be seen.1. The device functions properly, however the seller has said nothing about these issues or posted this work around that is just bad business. Not technically the manufactures fault, but the engineers issue at broadcomm for not fixing these incompatibilities with windows 10. What that means is that this manufacturer sells the broadcomm chip and put's it in a usb package for you to use in your computer. they did not create the chip themselves or create the blue tooth stack used in windows 10 they unfortunately can not control these issues. Bluetooth quality2. the audio quality connection is not quite as good as my nexus 6p or Samsung 4K smart TV, however it is functional and is not that much different. other devices such as phones or game controllers should not have this issue (your not playing audio from them). If you are planning on using these primarily for sound look elsewhere audiophiles.3. Ease of useabsolutely a terrible experience I was hoping for a plug and play experience, but you see how that turned out above. what is worst Soundbot has not directly addressed these issues from what I have seen. there should be a HUGE disclaimer on this product description that it is having software issues with windows 10 currently and a work around should be posted.4. SummaryIf you are not tech savvy I recommend to pay extra for something that does not need tinkering to get working. all in all the product is functional after 30 minutes of troubleshooting driver incompatibilities, but the average users would not know what to do.2/5 stars should not be advertised as plug and play when it is definitely not for some users.

Use of Bluetooth dong with personal laptop
I purchased a cheaper dongle from PC World which did not work at all well.I sought advice and looked at reviews and clearly i had to spend more money on a dongle in order to use blue-tooth devices specifically a sound bar/speaker. To date I have spent a lot of time trying to get the dongle to work consistently with blue-tooth devices. I have re started my laptop a number of times, removed and replaced the dongle several times and also reinstalled the dongle software. At one point I even lost the icon for the dongle from the control panel. Yesterday i seemed to achieve a degree of success and used the dongle to play music through a remote speaker using blue-tooth consistently. Yes the best result would be to buy a new laptop with blue-tooth installed but I am not prepared to do that yet. I did expect the blue-tooth device to work more consistently. It has more than a previous cheaper device I bought. One observation was that having researched dongles I purchased this one on the basis it was compatible with Windows 10. However when it arrived by post (ON TIME) I noticed that there was no reference to Windows 10 on the packaging. My delay in using the device in effect was in case I returned the device for that reason. However inside the packaging there was reference to compatability with windows 10 much to my relief. Despite this using the device and trying to connect up( or pair) windows 10 decided there was a problem on an number of occasions restarting my laptop which was not what I wanted or anticipated at all. I wanted a device just to plug in and play!Clearly I hope that the device will continue to work well...time will tell. In summary YES I like the dongle at the moment but with reservations.

Good product. Works with most of the bluetooth devices
Good product. Works with most of the bluetooth devices. Compatible with laptop with windows 10 platform. I don't know why it is not able to sense my bluetooth mice which is of course working fine with my old adapter (HP).

Its not working in windows 10 desk top. Driver update and everything recommended by windows done but can not switch on to add devices.I contacted SoundBot support and they replied in Windows 10 installs automatically driver because of its included driver. Then I try in Windows 7 desktop in another computer and found its functioning. Next I checked in Windows 10 all in details why its not working! Finally I found :Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Administrative Tools>Services(Local)>Bluetooth Service Management/Bluetooth hand free Services/Bluetooth Services and Bluetooth Support Service etc. not enabled. Clicked on Start and put in Automatic. Then Reinstalled. Now all functioning. I am not a Computer Professional but its working now 4 days.

Works flawlessly!!!
Works seamlessly with windows 10. Drivers are downloaded automatically if you are connected to the internet. Just make sure to turn off the bluetooth before plugging out the device, otherwise it may cause BSOD.

Easy to install and use
Plug play so it was a breeze, on Win 10.Finding it difficult to configure built-in microphone on Bluetooth headset to work though.
