I only know about Bead Mats because of my recent informal education in jewelry making. One of the first things I learned after the basics was the use of a Bead Mat, to keep my beads from rolling around and falling to the floor.Well, it did just that. I did accidental hit them and they scattered, with some hitting the floor. I used it to make my first Bracelet today, as a practice run. The mat did not move around or slide. But I’m a little mad at myself because when I was trying to dab a drop of Jewelry Glue onto the knot in my Bracelet, I dropped some onto the mat spoiling my experience. It didn’t effect the surface of the mat, but that white spot that is now on my mat is a reminder that I’m still very new at this game.I think I will buy a larger mat and place this one on top of it when I am about to use any glue. But hopefully I’m more careful the next time. Will I recommend this Bead Mat? One Hundred Percent. I also like the ruler along the bottom and the millimeter sizes for beads at the top. This is the best one I’ve come across, so far. But then this is the first one that I’ve bought.

Like the description says, non-slip treasure mat. No dropping or losing finding any more and clean up is a breeze. I don't know how I got along without it! Love it!

This bead matt is flexible. One side of the matt is a fabric that keeps my beads from rolling around. The other side is rubber which keeps the bead matt from slipping on the surface that I'm placing it on. It has a guide printed on it so that I can find out the size of the beads that I am using. This makes it possible for me to buy beads online that are the size that I want with out guessing.

My mum really enjoys making jewellery and it’s been so good for her during this past year with all the lock downs due to the Covid pandemic but the one thing that she’s found difficult is finding a good mat to work on so that she isn’t chasing beads about and she’s been through quite a few of them but just couldn’t find one that worked for her so when I saw this Bead Mat from Beadsmith I bought it for her to try and she absolutely loves it. The full size of the mat is 12.5” x 9.25” and It’s got a really good non slip surface that actually works, it also has 11 different bead size templates laser printed at the top of the mat and a 30cm/12” ruler printed at the bottom so it has more purpose than just a good non slip work mat. It’s a great product and I would definitely recommend it.

The mat is quite small but it does have the handy measure and it does stop beads rolling around to a degree
