SharkskinMens Chillproof 1PC Full Wetsuit

Great Suit
I purchased two sizes of the Sharkskin suit and also bought the Mares Ultraskin, which was top rated in a Scuba review. Both are easy to put one due to fleece interior. But I went with the Sharkskin because it actually has a more athletic cut and better contours to your body. The Mares left to much air gap on my back side. Secondly, the back zipper on the Sharkskin made it easier to remove. With the Mares I couldn't pull it off my shoulders easily and that was dry. The Sharkskin feels a little more like a true wetsuit and has less shine than the Mares. Though the Mares is very comfortable but the air gap was too much.

Comfortable Suit for Heavier Guys
This is a great wet suit for those of us who are a bit more plump and the material stretches around your torso while donning versus traditional neoprene material. I have 8 dives on my new suit and it performed well and kept me comfortable in 82F salt water. I did notice that some of the stitching is starting to fuzz up and fray a little after only 8 dives.

Runs a little small
Going by the size chart was the wrong thing to do! Now I’ve been waiting to get a refund, for over a week and they have received my return, was thinking about just getting a size larger, but now they have made me wait for my refund I don’t think I want to reinvest, hopefully I will get my money back

great product
Really nice quality product. It really does help keep you a bit warmer.I wish I would have ordered an XL though. I am 6'1'' 185 pounds athletic build. Its a tad bit short I the arms and legs but fits well around my body. Too bad they don't come in Tall sizes.

Excellent protection with neutral buoyancy
Received the 2nd of these wetsuits and made 20 dives in it last week in Grenada. First suit had 300 dives and getting a little worn. Excellent protection, no added weight. I am 5'8" 195lbs, 43 chest, 36 waist and got a large size as recommended by a rep of Sharkskin in Maine office - good suggestion. This Chillproof is about 1.5-2mm thick and acts like 3mm. I wore a Scubapro vest with attached hood underneath and a rash guard long sleeve shirt. Water temperature was 78F and it was adequate protection - I get cold easily especially on second dive. Suit is a fair price for the offering...they are coming out with a full suit Titanium/Chillproof in April which states a 5ml protection with again neutral buoyancy...I'll get that one when available.I love this suit because I don't need more weight and I dive with a SCUBAPRO Hydrospro with pockets removed using alternate harness and a crotch strap - I only use 6 lb divided into 2 - 3lb in the BCD rear pockets...A typical 3ml suit would add 3-4 lb to my kit.

Used under dry suit.
Wear under my dry suit. Used in 34 degree water with dry suit to test. I was cold but not freezing as long as I kept moving. Would layer up for another dive. When leaks occur the water doesn’t get to the skin which is nice.

returned item- would not be useful at all
didn't fit well at all. absolutely no stretch or give, so lots of gaps and tight spots. returned item- would not be useful at all.

Great Investment
Just got back from a weekends diving and this suit was well worth the investment. It kept me warm in 23+ degree water for each dive between 50 to 35 minutes, then it kept me warm on the 20 minute speedboat trips back to the live-aboard boat. The build quality is great and the fit is true to the size chart, my only complaint is the thumb loops are a bit to short which was uncomfortable after 50 minutes in the water.
