These were new and arrived in perfect condition. They were all 10 of the 2023 edition published by Orbit publishers. The paper is decidedly off-white, however the clear, dark print makes it very readable.My 5-star rating is for the quality and value of the book set - I am looking forward to reading this series.

As others have stated, this purchase gives you all 10 of the series. Really well packaged and arrived incredibly quickly. 110% satisfied with how this was shipped and the value of the bundle.

Perfect set for my bookshelf

I read this series years ago, and purchased one volume in a Kindle edition that didn't seem to match my memory (Mandela effect?). So, I purchase the full Culture Series paperbacks and am amazed at how much I have forgotten, or just plain missed in the first reading. As other reviewers have noted, this series should be read in the proper sequence, otherwise one will not get the full impact of the stories. And even then, so much is happening between the lines of any one story, that I'm constantly asking myself if all the actions taken weren't pre-planned or guided by the Minds. Great stories, with great depth, by a great storyteller. My favs are Surface Detail and Hydrogen Sonata, plus the non-culture scifi Against a Dark Background. They all make me smile.

Came with all ten books, beautiful quality.

Received the books in good condition but the title "Matter" was not part of the collection set, it was the mass market paperbook version, not the cover shown in the picture. Had a replacement set sent to me and it was the same way. Do not trust the "The Next Day Delivery Bookstore"

great series. the books have you on the edge of your seat and even on the last pages there's a surprise. 10/10 would recommend. the culture series to any sci-fi lover
