EVERYONE Should Check Out This Research!!
This is one of few books that I have multiple copies of just to lend out to friends and family. Overall, it deals with the compression of the lymphatic system in our bodies and how this leads to the beginnings of cancer cell growth. The lymph system is what carries and gets rid of the toxins in our bodies. When various lymph nodes are compressed day in and out (by such things as bras, tight clothing, etc.) toxins are not able to be excreted as they are meant to be, and this build up of carcinogens leads to cancerous cell growth. The book includes research from various cultures - those who typically wear bras, and those who don't, as well as what happens when non-bra wearing women move to the U.S. and start wearing on a daily basis... The authors also discuss other forms of clothing-lymph constriction and cancer sites -- such as tight jeans around the abdomen/pelvis area and glasses that constrict the lymph system around the nose. Interestingly, the 3 biggest sites of cancer in the U.S. are around the breast, the abdomen/pelvic region, and around the nose. This is not seen in cultures that do not wear constrictive clothing.Granted, there are likely several factors that go into who develops, and who does not develop cancerous cell growth. However, the research presented here is empirical, sound, and more than compelling. It is a great book, easy to read, packed with data, and gives us something to really think about... The author specializes in culture-based health and wellness and is the head of a health research college in Hawaii. His wife (who is also an author of the book) suffered from cyst/tumor development in her breast after decades of bra-wearing. She treated this with natural measures - the foremost being to take off her bra! She is now cyst/tumor free. The authors discuss the myth that I have heard many women voice -- "If I don't wear a bra, won't my breasts sag?!" NO! The reverse is actually true...Just as in other parts of the body - the muscles you use are the muscles that stay firm and strong and supportive. Authors go into the physiological makeup of the breasts and breast tissue.I also highly recommend checking out The Healing Power of 8 Sugars for those interested in pro-actively warding off cancer cell growth or eliminating it from the body. This book is written by 21 top doctors in various fields of health and deals with the roles of glyconutrients and glycobiology in the body. Both books deal with the ability of our bodies' cells to clean out toxins and restore themselves, the way the body is designed to function when given what it needs to work properly - a free flowing lymphatic system and cell-to-cell communication. The Healing Power of 8 Sugars: An Amazing Breakthrough in Nutrition, Sciences and Medicine

It angers me to think that this bra- brainwashing could ...
It angers me to think that this bra- brainwashing could be a link to this dreaded impairment, and nobody hardly seems to care. At this point in time there are literally hundreds of articles, doctors and researchers regarding the ‘possibility’ of a link between bras and cancer, but you can investigate that for yourself. The bottom line is this, in similar fashion to the few scientists and doctors who made the early correlation of cigarettes to cancer in the 1920’s, we now have a small but mounting group of them doing the same exact thing with bras and breast cancer. Knowing how this played out with regard to cigarette smoking, is it worth your health, and really, is it worth your comfort (physically), to continue to allow society and your peers dictate what you do with your boobs? There is plenty of valid research out there just waiting for you to read - studies done in Scotland, Fiji, Brazil, China, United States and more. I applaud Sydney Ross Singer and Soma Grismaijer for their work and passion in bringing this to light!

Most important book for ANY woman to read!
I bought this book way back in 2010. Witnessing the reaction by the bra industry, the cancer industry, and our Government. I realized this all must be true and they were on to something. The bra industry being outlawed? Curing breast cancer in just one stroke? A lot of people were looking at major unemployment if this got out. But, YOU DON'T JUST DISMISS A HARVARD STUDY! And that's exactly what they did.I've been preaching to ANY woman that would listen for the last 7 years. And, believe me, talking to women about their boobs isn't easy. Do you think? I've even given copies of this books to women in places that could help; many doctors. Most, follow this advice today, if anything; as a preventative. Why take the chance? Also as an aside. My sister had a lump on her breast and I told her to stop wearing a bra. Sure enough, within two weeks it was gone. Just as this book says. No more bras for Linda.

Dressed to Kill
I enjoyed reading this book - opens your mind to bras and the damage over a period of time. After reading this book, I started to educate myself on the lymphatic system. The books premise does make a lot of sense. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Reading this book and making one simple no cost change in your wardrobe could save your life.
Peer-reviewed studies from a published Harvard Medical School study in the US and similar studies in China, Argentina, Europe and Africa point to wearing bras as a cause of breast cancer. Fibrocystic disease, which can be a precursor to some breast cancers, can in many cases be alleviated by stopping wearing bras. In countries where bras are not worn, breast cancer is almost unknown. When women begin to wear bras, breast cancer begins to occur, in Japan as an example. If you or someone you know is worried about breast cancer, read this and decide for yourself. Such a simple thing, giving up bras, costs nothing compared to surgeries and chemo. It might save your life.

I agree I hate bra and bad to you, but scientific evidences are very biased and too weak.

Burn those bras ladies
This book is very eye opening and a must read for all women and men too!! Our society is killing us and the industry will not listen. We need to be concerned when you take off your bra at night and your chest area hurts...come on people we need to wake up and burn those bras. Pain in this are is not a good thing after being in a harness for 8 to 12 hours a day.I highly recommend this book and hope it will help prevent cancer of the breast. It takes getting used to going without or at least wireless, now I feel like a true hippie at fifty. A good read and quick to the finish. Thank you!

Our culture has women convinced that their breasts must be shaped like some form of rocket pointing straight from their chests
Sadly the evidence in this book has gone largely ignored and breast cancer rates are going through the roof in the UK and around the world. Whilst there are many causes, from the food we eat to the drinks we take, not to mention the so-called beauty products and deodorants; marketed to women every day; the ill fitted worn 24 hours a day bra, has a lot to answer for.Our culture has women convinced that their breasts must be shaped like some form of rocket pointing straight from their chests, with the natural shape and movement of the breast being condemned as being 'imperfect' and 'drooping'.This book gives the facts about women's breasts and details the harm being done to women's breast health across the world as a result of the bra and the odd belief that breasts are meant to be hoisted up high upon the chest wall and their movement restricted by ill fitted bras. There is more in this book than that of course, but essentially it challenges the claims of the fashion and so-called beauty industries and the notion that not wearing a bra is harmful and ages a woman's breasts.Whilst one can pick holes in the fact that a double-blind research programme has not been undertaken into the possible link into the wearing of bras and breast cancer, the real issue here is that women should not take the risk, but limit the wearing of a bra as much as possible. There is enough evidence to support that principle in my view. This book is not anti-bra wearing, but does present evidence that all women should read and take heed of.The evidence is there for all to read in this book, that the link between wearing bras and breast cancer cannot be ignored and is a fact!

A very interesting book, a little long winded but very useful. Would have liked the research group and questions that were asked had been broader research project, would have liked the menopause and its effects to have been covered in greater detail also breast conditions such as fibroadenoma were also addressed it would have been useful to have greater coverage of this in the book, I haven't been able wear a bra for about 10 years they are too uncomfortable as I suffer from multlple fibroadenomas in both breasts and wear a good supporting camisole this book was very reassuring that I wasn't doing anything wrong even breast surgeons will always try to say you should wear a good supporting bra if you have this condition. Thanks for the book.Hopefully other women will read it but unfortunately I cant see them giving up there bras as thats the response Im getting from people when I mention this book.
