Bearing went out first time I used it
The bearing next to the arbor went out the first time I used it. Don’t waste your money on this product.

Works good
Cuts through 6x & 8x wood in one pass, relatively straight and square. Using it on my classic worm drive Skill saw does produce a wavy edge that is fine for rough framing and requires sanding/grinding for a clean finished reveal. Cutting square to a marked line is much easier using this combined with the Skill saw vs roughing it with a conventional chain saw.

rough cut, not an easy switch
This is a relatively difficult install, not something to switch back and forth several times a day, as you have to do a fairly significant disassembly of the saw to get this on. I then used it to rip a 6" thick oak timber, and while it did do the job, it was a much rougher cut than I'm used to from my Stihl chainsaws. Of course, it was also square and relatively straight, unlike my chainsaw would have been. There is also the issue that when you cut, it throws the cuttings up right where you need to see to stay on a line, so keeping on the line is a bit of a challenge.

chain installed backwards from factory
After modifying my worm drive saw and mounting the chain saw attachment I was ready to rip. No wait! I wasn't. The saw would not cut. I looked at the chain and compared it to the instructions. Everything aligned. Here's the problem. They installed the chain at the factory backwards. The instruction manual even shows the chain installed backwards. Once I took everything apart and reset the chain, I was golden and the saw performed as advertised. If not for the blatant stupidity of the management I would give the product 5 stars.

works as described
I had an older model skill saw so it didn't fit quite as described I don't know if it was the age of my saw or the design of the part but it's on there an works.

Don't buy this attachment.
Bearings burned up in the 5th cut of a 4" thick stringer.
