Was a bit sceptical because of the size of this but it's really good. My sons room has the sun on it all afternoon and even with the curtains closed is roasting. Put this by his bed and keeps him cool. The lights are lovely but it's quite noisy even on a low setting. Will be recommending this to my friend who has hot flushes.

Quite a flimsy quality.Works well, don't expect it to cool a whole room. That's not what's it's for. It's to cold immediate personal space.Works far better with cold water and ice cubes. It is quite noisy at full power.Time will tell in the build quality.Glad I got it on a time limited deal and only paid £20 delivered.

I had read the rather mixed reviews and I was hoping the good reviews were correct. Unfortunately not. I understand this is only a small device and can not possibly be expected to cool an entire room, even a small box room. I also knew that I would have to have the fan blowing directly on me to get the benefit. I therefore chilled a bottle of water overnight and had plenty of ice on standby. The machine arrived and the first thing to note is that it is very small when you actually have it in your hands. I was doubtful at that point that anything this small would be able to do anything let alone cool you. Nevertheless I followed the instructions, soaking the filter in cold water, filled the tank with my chilled water and ice, and then switched on. I left it 30 minutes in case it needed time to get going. The fan, even on maximum, can only be described as feeble. It is no bigger than some PC fans and at full speed makes quite a noise. I had two other fans in my study (standard 12 inch non-cooling fans) and they were so much stronger at blowing that they cooled me a lot more than this small device. You have to be literally right in front of this device to get any benefit at all – move just a little to either side and you feel nothing.I think this device should at least cool your face when you are right in front of it but it performs worse than a standard fan. I do wonder if there is something wrong with my device because the air coming from it feels virtually the same temperature as that coming from my normal fans and I am not getting any cooling effect whatsoever. I really can not recommend this device and think if you are serious about getting cool you are going to have to spend a lot more money. Even if it worked, which it appears not to, it would only cool your face and not all of you. It is basically a very expensive, and rather small and noisy, fan that blows air through a moistened filter with little resultant cooling. Please filter the customer reviews for this device to show the most recent ones as they are nearly all bad. I have returned it for a refund. I do wonder how many more devices are out there on Amazon that make all sorts of claims but never live up to them?

Quite cheaply made works well as a fan but the air doesn’t travel far, it is slightly colder than a fan and I ha e tried water ice and also an ice pack which was slightly better. Have not tried putting the filter in the freezer yet. The dehumidifier I’m not sure about whether this works or not the air that comes out seems less cold. I have bought some essential oils so will see how that works. It is not quiet although quieter on the lowest setting actually at the time of writing have discovered the spray and dehumidifier is low setting mrs setting appears to be a combination of both and high setting just fan. The instructions don’t really make sense. All in all for the price it works well But just be aware this a personal fan it will not cool the room.

Bought this on a bit of a gamble, but have been pleasantly surprised. Works beautifully next to my desk while at work! If you are expecting this to cool a whole room you will be disappointed, as what it does is create a cool 'bubble' in the vicinity so you have to be quite near it. This bubble though is really cool and fresh, which is perfect for those working from home during hot weather, pointing at you while you are on the sofa or next to your bed. It is quite loud, but has three settings so you can set it to the lowest which is no more really than a pedestal fan. Works far better if you add ice to the water tank (you don't need loads!) and use refrigerated water. I also found freezing the filter added an extra cool blast for a little while when you first turn it on! If you are looking for an air con, you will be disappointed (though I have found it you shut all the doors and run this, it can cool a small-ish room a little) - but that isn't what this is meant to be. If you are however looking for a neat little gadget to cool your immediate vicinity then this is perfect, and much more effective than a fan alone!.

its brilliant!! I sock the fillter in water and put it in the freezer and put ice cubes in the water for top !! it cools the room down and my little sleeps really well with on on warm nights

Doesn't cool the bedroom down at all. Even the light off setting still has a light so it keeps my daughter awake at night.It only works in a very small room/office as a very basic fan if it's directed at you the whole time and it's within a metre. Other than that it's useless
