Splendid Women's Crewneck Modal Jersey Short Sleeve Tee

I'm a bit indifferent about this t-shirt from Splendid. I've been having a wonderful affair with their other pieces but perhaps the honeymoon is over with this one.Bottom line, it's a good tee but overpriced.Love the fabric. It's a nice blend of 50% Supima (premium American cotton) and 50% micro modal. It's softer than the average tee but not ecstatically soft like some of their other blends or knits. It's quite lightweight and very comfortable to wear. Thin but not terribly, and perfectly passable with a nude bra underneath.I'm not digging the sleeves. I like the general idea of shorter cap-style sleeve but these flare a bit and make the profile look a bit too loose which is incompatible with the cut. I really liked it at first but it tends to relax with body heat and laundering, and loses a bit of the initial structure. It also feels a bit big for a size small on me at 36/31/41 and 5'2". I was hoping for a more fitted look.The general shape is feminine with a smaller waist and a curved hem. The neckline is a nice perfect round.Overall, this is a a bit of a contradiction between the structured feminine cut and the relaxed fabric. It's nice and comfy but just doesn't feel as special as their other 'special-priced' garments. I do like it. However I wouldn't pay more than $25 max for this tee.

I wanted a black T-shirt to wear with jeans and underneath a suit jacket if I wanted to dress it up a little bit.I am 57 and 134 pounds and requested a small. The small fit me fine, but I was disappointed in this shirt due to the thin feel of the fabric. It was thin enough that I worried about the shirt possibly see through in sunlight.Although the shirt fits well, is soft and is machine washable, I have serious doubts that it will hold up well based on the craftsmanship and material used.

size reference: 5'2", 160lbs, 36B (US Medium)i was really surprised at how this fit me. i am not a small person, so i was amazed that this actually fit me. i requested this product even though i knew this is a small just to test what others are saying about it being loose fitting. it is indeed loose fitting. i am a Medium, pushing Large. this shirt first like a Medium on me, not too tight. but as the day went on the warmth of my body stretched it even more, by the end of the day it fit even looser than a Medium, i am not complaining at all. if you order this not sizing down, your bra will probably show because the material stretches around the armhole and does not bounce back. i hope it doesn't shrink in the wash. i will update after washing. in black it is thin, so white will be see through i would imagine. i would also add that this shirt is very short, even short for a 5'2" person like me.

I love the round neck and loose sleeves. It flatters the bodice and then has a slightly relaxed fit at the hemline that is really feminine and easy to wear. The fabric has a little bit of give to it, but the knit is very smooth and fine - not at all prone to snagging or pilling. It's opaque, not see-through. Very happy with this.

This is a flattering cut for a basic tee, and the material feels amazing on. However it is a bit thin and you could clearly see my bra underneath it. Actually you could make out boob crack as well, oh my. It would be a nice piece for layering, or if you are of a more athletic build perhaps the girls aren't going to stretch the material enough to make it see through. I am usually a small or medium in shirts it depends on the cut, this small fit well, but I am a 32DD and maybe that is why it was a bit see through on me.All in all, this really is a nice basic tee, but don't spend more than $20-$25 for it. Splendid has amazing fabrics (seriously they are like wizards or something) but they get crazy with their price points.
