Stormy: A Story About Finding a Forever Home

This is my first wordless picture book and it has me wanting more! These beautiful illustrations will tug at your heartstrings. The feelings of curiousity, playfulness, worry, trust, love, and warmth will have you wanting to experience the pages over and over again!

I bought this book for my granddaughter who was 1 at the time. I started "reading" it to her right away. (Every time I read it I get tears in my eyes - hey, you will too. Over the years I've adopted two dogs who were abandoned so the story resonates with me). She is now 2 years old and it is her favorite story. When she visits she gets the book and tells me all about Stormy on her own. She points to the pictures and talks about how the dog or the woman is feeling and what they are doing. The illustrations are just gorgeous and convey such emotion. I also purchased the author's other book for a friend who grew up in China as an only child. Another touching story with beautiful illustrations.

Such a sweet book. Doesn’t need words to tug at your heart strings. The pictures say it all, so your kiddos won’t have a hard time understanding the story. They could even narrate for you to improve their skills

I purchased this book for one of my first graders who was constantly checking this book out this past school year. He loved it so much that I had to get him his very own copy. Beautiful illustrations and the story speaks volumes.

I am a HUGE fan of this author’s work. Her illustrations are breathtaking, the story is so touching, and by the way, THERE ARE NO WORDS. Her previous book, The Only Child, is one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOKS I’ve ever seen, and I have given it to only very special people. ( That’s another review...)Dog lovers will adore this. Non dog lovers will adore this. It’s just lovely.

This book is fabulous. Because there are no words it provides each "reader" the opportunity to vary the story keeping with a central theme. Wonderful for children to help develop imaginations. And the art work is wonderful. Big Thumbs Up!

The most charming and poignant story with gorgeous illustrations. As a mom to 4 rescue dogs it brings tears to my eyes every time.

I just love the illustrations and the book tell you the heart warming story without writing a single word. This book is for all the dog lovers in the world.
