Great lawnmower - excellent as described
On my third petrol lawnmower and realise the importance of reading reviews and descriptions.Arrived exactly as described - trackeddelivery and in perfect condition.Mostly assembled- except for handles and a couple of clips.Filling the oil is as tricky as everyone says. Really need a funnel with a bit of tubing. Was expecting this but still tricky.Followed all instructions and it started first time, really effortless action. Grass was cut well and every blade of grass was in the bag.Self-propelled was easier than pushing (duh, that's why I got it!!). Not too speedy for me. Is stop and start at first, but soon get a feel.Has a good robust feel to it - and didn't seem to use much petrol on first cut. Very impressed and would recommend

Quality mower for small size garden
PositvesExcellent build quality, sturdy & solid.Gives good even cut even on long grass.Good value for moneyInstructions say needs two people to assemble, I'm in my 70's and had no trouble assembling it on my ownUsed it several times now & always started first time, just one pull on cord & away you go..Negatives :My lawn has very steep slopes which this mower doesn't cope with well at all, front wheels kick up & it doesn't cut evenly on sloping lawn. The self propelled speed is factory set & it is quite fast. This is fine for level lawns, for sloping lawns it can run away with you, be far better if user could adjust speed to suit the terrainGrass box is far too small, on larger lawns you are forever stopping to empty it.Cutting width is 16", OK for smaller lawns, not really wide enough of medium to large lawns.Overall this mower is best suited to smaller lawn areas which are flat. I decided to buy this model as it was self propelled, thinking it would be much easier to use than a push type. It isn't, the slopes on my lawn and the fast speed it is set at make it all but useless on the sloping areas. If you have a small lawn it will be fine, but I'd look elsewhere if you have a medium or large lawn.

Imptessed
Seems very good quality for the price, assembly was easy and the engine oil was included in the box. I'm running Aspen fuel and the mower starts first pull. It's light enough to carry if need be. The height adjustment is easy to use and ranges from 25 to 75mm. Cuts well with all the cuttings ending up in the grass box which is simple to get on and off for emptying. All round I'd say it's a good mower for a smaller lawn and so far I've found no down points with it.

Perfect mower
I bought this as I needed a self propelled mower for my garden which is on a steep upwards incline.Came in a box and was relatively easy to put together. The brake handle has no instructions on fitting which took me a little while to work out. The rest was super simple. It is great and works really well. I have to avoid using the self propelled bit going downhill as it was too fast and I slipped several times on the damp cut grass. Ha ha, yes I was on my bum on the floor. That said it is superb at going uphill and has made cutting my grass a much easier job. Only negative so far (had it a couple of weeks) is it is damn heavy and is too heavy for me to carry up and down the steps up to my grass. Think it is because it is self propelled so a bit heavier than a push mower. Luckily my neighbours son carries up and down for me.

Read this before purchase!
I have just purchased a Webb self-propelled petrol lawnmower (model WER410SP). The “Pros” : arrived quickly; easily assembled; the machine looks well constructed; comes with a bottle of oil and a filling tube (nice touch); starts and performs well; and cuts grass nicely. The important “Cons”; to get the stated 2nd and 3rd year warranty, the machine must be be serviced by an authorised service dealer. From where I live the nearest dealer involves a 66 mile round trip (north of London) in one direction and going South, a round trip of 84 miles. Both unacceptable for one person in a salon car. The next major issue involves the self-propelled mechanism. On the lightest of touches to the drive lever the machine will rapidly accelerate with such a force that it can easily pull the machine out of your hands. I contacted the service and support number only to be told that this is factory set by the engine manufacturer and cannot be adjusted, and they could not/or would not do anything about this. I note that this issue has previously been raised in earlier reviews. These last two issues seriously detract for what is otherwise a good product.

Well made and great value for money.
I am really impressed with the Webb lawnmower. It arrived quickly and came with the oil ready to fill up, which is a bonus. It was very easy to assemble and set up ready to go within a very short time. Having read the instructions regard starting I primed the system with 3 pumps and it struck up on the first pull with very little effort, almost taking me by surprise (contra to my existing lawnmower that needs multiple pulls & fettling to start and keep going). Once struck up it worked well and was just as easy to restart after emptying the grass collector. The collector is also good with it being made of mesh and easy to see when it's full without having to regularly check the contents. The lawnmower is fairly light and easy to use. Having read other reviews, I understand the critism over filling the oil, but this can be overcome by using a small funnel. Overall a great lawnmower for the money.

Good petrol mower
Seems very a well built machine. Easy to set up and start. The only criticism is that it’s factory setting is too fast. It’s certainly a good workout keeping up with the pre-set speed but a little tricky turning corners without stopping the self propelled action and changing to manually pushing. Otherwise seems to be a very competent machine which hopefully will last years.
