Almost obsolete.
If you don't have a CPU back plate cutout on your motherboard mounting tray in your case, then this fan is a great choice. If you do have a cutout, then go for the Cooler Master Hyper 212+It is getting to a point where it cannot keep up with the high wattage processors such as AMD's 6 core CPUs while overclocked.I managed to get my 125w C2 Phenom II quadcore to 3.7Ghz stable with this baby with decent Idle/Load temps. Any further and the heat becomes too much of an issue. As for the X6 CPU's, the highest I could go was 3.5Ghz before it just became too much for this fan to handle. It's reasonably quiet, thanks mostly to Arctic Cooling's rubber bushings that keep the usual ear splitting vibration of 92mm fans in check.I'm sure it's performance would be greater if you take the time to properly lap the contact surface to a mirror finish (I didn't do this.)Soon the time will come when this fan won't have enough cooling ability to handle what most overclockers demand from their cooling systems. But for a reasonably priced fan that is easy to install on the normal 3 prong mounting plates that AMD uses, this fan is a definite winner. If for some reason you can't mount a Hyper 212+ then this cooler is a great choice.

Five Stars
One of the best coolers I've had. Keeps your chip cool while being dead silent. Highly recommended.

LOL...there has to be a mistake with the pricing here! These heatsinks sell for ~$25.00 new...I knew the price of copper was on the rise but...
