Memory Lane The Best of McFly

First off, let me say that I am an old fart, and I listen to old fart music. You know, contemporary music from the 18th century from when I was in my formative years. Prior to a couple of weeks ago, I had never heard of the band McFly, Tom Fletcher, Dannie whats-his-name, Dougie whats-his-name, and the other one.Then I saw this viral video on You Tube called "From Bump to Buzz", by some young guy with a pronounced lower jaw overbite named Tom Fletcher, and I was blown away by the video's simplicity, creativity, and raw romanticism. But who the hell is Tom Fletcher? Tom kinda looks like a cute and lovable English bulldog.Well, he is part of an English and European pop rock boyz band called McFly that has been at the top of the pop charts across the pond for over 10 years. That's who Tom Fletcher is.So why have I never heard of this band if they are super stars of pop music? Cause the geniuses who control the US domestic pop music industry prevent the distribution of McFly's music in the US. Gee. I thought we had anti-trust laws in this country. Oh well, I don't trust those music business geniuses anyway.So I wanted to listen to some of the music of McFly to check them out. Could I buy their music here? No. Could I listen to preview clips of their music on Amazon? No. Could I at least buy a copy of their music CD? Yes, if I got it from Germany.So I did. And I love their music. Yeah ... its pubescent poppy sweet and syrupy stuff about love, and surfer girls, and how that girl is waaay out of my league, and love on the radio, and its all about you, and .... meh. I have been trying to forget about that stuff for decades now.But the lyrics are well written, the production is top notch, the harmonies are first rate, and the overall attitude of the band is so gentle and so earnestly young-and-romantic that they won me over.I guess that they CAN teach an old dog new tricks. Sometimes.

I had never heard of this group before...heard them first time when I was watching BBC America, Graham Norton show, they were on and I had to have their CD...and recently I bought this one!

My CD arrived ontime, undamaged, and in brand new condition. I was so happy when I opened it, I'm not gonna lie I screamed for a minute...or two. I played it and there's no skips, scratches, or anything. I would recommend anyone McFlyer, or anyone who appreciates good music to buy this CD. It chronicles the ten year musical journey of a truly amazing band, and I aboslutely love it!

Disc one may seem a little redundant because some of the songs were on their other greatest hits album but it's a fantastic mix of the best McFly songs coupled with new songs that are less well-known. I would definitely recommend this album to any hardcore McFly fans as well as any budding fans. All-in-all, it was a great purchase.

As an American fan i have been not always been able to get albums of theirs all the time. i like having CDs because it gives me back up if anything happens with itunes. this is now in my car and on the computer i love it!

Heard some of their music when we went on a cruise. They are different and quirky.

As one of the few hardcore McFly fans in the States, I think this product is exactly what I needed to fulfill all of my Tom, Danny, Harry and Dougie needs. Great range in song selection, and ALL of them are very good. Love it.

Great collection of this British band's music creations to date. I just wish we could get their music released and sold in the US but the British distributors do an amazing job getting the CD's quickly to the states.

Thought I'd try something different to listen to in the car, a million miles away from my usual choice but change is good ??? Wasted 7.00€ !! Absolutely not my bag....

Thought there would be more hits on cd

Never get tired of listening to this. McFly at their best! Great to have on in the car in the mornings to put you in a good mood. Cd number 2 in this album is more covers of well known songs. All very well done. I'd rate this cd album 10 stars if I could. Delivery was good too.

Has some great tracks and some I choose to skip over. Overall a good listen.
