Good potential
I was a perty big fan of the original Superpower and still play it from time to time despite it's flaws. The major flaw being the bugs which seemed to happen at the worst times. Second, would be graphics, they did do a good job of maps which look even better in 2 from what I've seen and unit availability but not with unit graphics, all things looked alike (Aircraft had one graphic if it were a fighter or a bomber...) but they have fixed that for number 2. Another complaint would be that it was too easy once you get the hang of it as the computer was very simple minded.

Great Game
Owned this game a while back. Lost the CD. Got this for under $5 (including shipping). Great deal. Loads of fun (if you really like global strategy games).

SuperBoring
I bought this game a few years ago. I love simulations, especially simulations based on geopolitics. This game looked like it fit the bill. What proceeded was hours of sheer boredom. I wouldn't mind the boredom if you could continue towards your goals, but the game has a bug in it where no matter how much taxes you raise, no matter how little you spend, eventually your country is drowning in fiscal red tape. If you want a simulator of how to bankrupt a country despite whatever you do, then maybe you might enjoy it.

Not so Super
Despite the negative reviews here, I was hopeful, but Superpower isn't worth the jewel case it's shipped in. Nuff said. However, both Supreme Ruler 2010 and the newer and pricier 2020 are Superpower to the 10th power. Both are awesome, with great support from developer Battlegoat and an active online community.
