Great hat
It's a hat and I like it. I'd like to address some of the complaints that people had and just weigh in my own opinion.I almost didn't buy the hat. I wanted the pattern on the underside of the brim but there were concerns about fit and quality. My head measures 23", this changes as my hair comes in and I trim it down but I measured just for this. 23". The hat fits not loose, not tight but like a hat should. If your head is 23" around, this is going to fit comfortably. A stiff wind might blow it off, but walking around, sharking your head it will stay put.The snaps on the side. I can see how these could come out ... BUT the fabric is very thin, and the snaps are pretty strong. I would just be careful when you unsnap and I don't see a problem. But if you try to just pull on the fabric to pop the snap loose you are going to have a bad time.I spent a day outside with the hat in the sun. I'm prone to sunburn and didn't have an issue at all.The cooling ... I didn't notice anything different from any other hat that I put in water except that it retains the moisture better than most hats. The brim still had water in it overnight. It didn't feel any cooler than any other hat that I've dipped in water. It didn't feel worse either. It did vent well and didn't trap in heat. I wasn't sweating like I usually do in 90 degrees heat with any other hat.The strap ... this i think looks like it will not last but it's not poorly made or anything, just thin. This is just me thinking it won't I have zero proof.Overall, I like the hat. I'm a fan of Hawiian shirts so this pattern is fantastic for me. I'm skeptical of anything that says "cooling" on it, but if you look at it like this ... it's a hat that helps block the sun that is comfortable, looks good, and is affordable you still win.

Good quality hat
I bought this hat for roughly $20 and at the same time purchased one of the other Mission brand baseball cap style cooling hats so I have been able to compare both of these hats. This bucket hat isn't huge, and for my big head it is a little on the tighter side but still perfectly comfortable for me. Could be an issue for some though I imagine most people will be fine as I know my head is bigger than average and the fit doesn't bother me.As to the cooling powers of the hat, I mostly use it on hot days when I am lounging in the pool to shade my face and keep me cool as I work on my tan. I dunk it in the water then slap it on my head. The only part of this hat that is going to cool you is the top and the inner rim that goes around your head. So for as much water as this hat soaks up, it really doesn't do much but run off and provide shade like any other hat. It stays cool for what seems a short amount of time but it does help. If you are on the go, I would keep a spray bottle handy so you can keep misting the top and inside every hour or so and get a lot more mileage out of it. Overall, it is a good hat but I feel the ball cap style hat is better for day to day. That one soaks up your sweat better than this one and if you do start to overheat with it on, take it off and it'll cool you down again once you put it back on after a few minutes thanks to the sweat retention. Both benefit from keeping a spray bottle nearby, and I do consider that a must have if you are trying to get these things to cool you down, but if I could pick only one I would go with the cap but luckily the world doesn't work that way so I can use the cap at work and then this bucket hat around the house and pool. This cap is definitely a bigger help in rain as well thanks to the wider brim. While it isn't perfect it is still worth buying just remember to have realistic expectations. An hour of good cooling effect after a good soaking and maybe you can get two hours in shade under ideal conditions. Every person is different too, so that is just my experience. Regardless, it is a worthwhile purchase and I am happy with my Mission hats.

Brim floppy
In the photo, the brim appears rigid. It is actually floppy and droops; wavy appearance. It is light weight and great for hot days. Good value. Fits well. Color as pictured.

Great product
We purchased these to use while camping and fishing. You can get it wet when it gets too hot. Keeps the sun off your face, very breathable. It comes in great colors and fits good. Great quality and adjustable. I recommend this product.

Actually provides cooling as described.
As per the description, this hat does provide effective cooling through wetting the headband (as long as you continue to wet it regularly). Lightweight, does provide UV protection, and looks as good as this type of hat can. Very pleased. Recommended.

Nice bucket hat but no head size adjustment
Great bucket hat and nice grey color but it fit too big and there is no size adjustment. If you wear small size I dont recommend.

Great bucket hat
Love this hat even though the cooling effect doesn't work very well where I live (high humidity). When I visited New Mexico and Arizona the cooling effect was amazing. Swamp cooler ACs work great there too. This is a floppy brimed hat, so don't expect any kind of stiffness on the brim, it's made that way. The only thing I don't like about these types of hats is the chin cord. They really bug me so I cut them off.

Great Beach Hat
The Florida sun can be brutal and if you're not careful, you can really hurt yourself simply sitting at the beach. I've been a fan and wearer of bucket hats for years. I saw these Mission hats and bought a tan one to try out. It was perfect and exactly what you look for in a bucket hat. Light weight, breathable, stylish, provides great protection, etc. I loved the tan one so much that a few weeks later I also bought the blue one! Great Hat!

Not entirely good
It’s a hat, and yes it keeps sun off your neck and head, and when wet, will be cold for about 30 minutes, not 2 hours as advertised. I wore it in temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, and was sweating after 45 minutes.
