Expensive but one helluva a rod

light, sensitive, with backbone
excellent choice for lighter weight lures in the surf 3/4 to 1 3/4 oz. cast very well and there is enough backbone to handle schoolies to mid weight bass with ease ,only had it about a month, but it has landed 200 fish in a dozen outings...from 14 inches to 17 lbs.... im very pleased

I bought 8'8" Airwave Elite and paired with Tsunami Evict4000 reel. I love it. It is great surf rod.

Good rod, handle way too thin for me
Didn't think the handle was going to be soooo thin. Didn't work with my hand size.

Run and Gun Rod
My go to run and gun rod for the surf. Throwing bucktails in the white wash for stripers, blues,flounder. I cover a lot of real estate on the beach, pack a small back pack with my tackle and have a blast. Pair with your favorite long cast reel and your set.

This is a 5 star rod. Don't pay attention to the other review regarding big hands. I fish high end rods, customs, etc and this rod has combination of backbone and sensitivity that one looks for in premium setups. Pair this with a VS150 or your favorite 3000-4000 series reel and you have a genuine back bay killer.
