Bought them so I don't have to use my coworkers everything is great other than ot says it comes with a stanless steel straight edge and the one I got is plastic

One tool that is used time and time again. Made from high tensile strength steel, these are a workhorse set when used properly. for correct applications. They also have a history of improper use in the wrong hands. Bought as a gift for a person that is learning the correct use.

I bought a pair of these about 20 years ago one of my best tool in my Box. I bought these new one from the same company.... Biggest disappointment ever, the handles are made from plastic.... not metal.

They seem a bit pricey, but the quality is first-rate.Hardened steel and a really durable handle gets the job done.Been using mine for over a year and they seem to be bulletproof.

The plastic handles are this tool's downfall. The steel pull rod is bent at 90° and only goes to one side of the plastic about 1". I know this because the handle broke as I was pulling on it and the rod cut me and stuck in my hand. I bought a set of these in 1992 and lasted me until about 3 months ago. They had the steel handles. It is a shame they can't even use a durable plastic for the handle now that they want to make cheap tools instead of quality tools. If you buy these, don't pull on them very hard, even with one hand, you will get injured! Serious, the plastic is not good at all. You can see the color is lighter and darker in spots, like it is different kinds of recycled plastic mixed together. Not durable at all. Very angry Steck made something so dangerous.
