Superb quality replacement for 15 year old identical model!
As per the title, this replaced an existing identical model that had given over 15 good years of service, and, whilst still usable though a little tricky to get the lines to retract, was only really finished off by being left open for 9 months of the worst winter weather due to a number of personal events, causing the lines to become too dirty and mildewed to clean. Can't complain given the time we've had it!The current model seems to be of near identical construction to the 15 year old one, except the green plastic is now a continuous shaped piece and complete encloses the unit when shut, removing the need for a cover. The aluminium and plastic form an extremely strong combination. A velcro strap would be a nice addition to completely secure it when closed.Very easy to erect and collapse, even for my partner who is only 4ft 11in, and takes a LOT of washing, or a super king size wet duvet draped over the top which was its first use when we received it today (fitted straight into old identical socket from the previous one).I fully expect this one to have a similar lifespan to the previous one, so it's actually cheap even at the relatively high price.Probably the best rotary airer on the market in my opinion!

Brilliant rotary line
Was looking for a sturdy rotary line and this one fits the bill! I am very pleased with it and it is so easy to erect (using pull handle) and just as easy to close using push button. I would definitely recommend using the Leifheit spike to ensure a strong fixing. A great product and worth the cost.

A Rolls Royce of rotary washing lines
Leifheit rotary washing lines are much, much better than the cheaper steel efforts you can buy, but they're also much more expensive. The version with the 60 metres of line needs a clear 12-foot circle, ideally a bit more to allow for clothes blowing around (I've included a photo of the line on my lawn, which is just under 4 metres across). You also need a bag (or if you want to do it properly two bags) of post concrete mix and perhaps a little sharp sand to provide drainage at the bottom of the hole. The 50mm post holder is tough plastic, and it needs to be fixed in concrete: there is no spike. It has a captive cover, so it is unlikely to fill up with stones.So. What makes this washing line so good that it's worth the extra? Well:1) The washing line is made of aluminium, so it is very light, and doesn't rust.2) The line is completely protected from the elements when the line is down (it disappears inside the arms), so it doesn't get wet or dirty.3) It is very easy indeed to pull the cord to open the line, and even easier to press the button to collapse it down again (I've included a couple of pictures to show this).4) The clothes line is tough synthetic cord, not plastic-coated line like you get on some cheaper rotary lines.4) Despite the chemical green colour, it actually looks rather good, so it you're lazy like me and can't be bothered to put it away, it doesn't make the garden look untidy.I've been using Leifheit washing lines for a few years now. They are robust, and are showing no signs of wearing out. No rust on the metalwork and no dirt on the line means clothes stay clean while they're drying. The only slight problem is needing to concrete in the post holder, but then you get a much more stable post compared with using a spike.

It's BIG!
Bought this to fit onto existing ground fitting so can't say about installation. Its very big, tall and wide. Easy to pull up and quick release works well. Closed unit looks good surprsisingly too!

Leifheit An Excellent Brand
The item was a replacement for a Leifheit Rotary washing line that I had had for over 8 years. Out of the box it fitted into my existing base. I like the ease with which one can open the line. The cord is thinner that my previous line but looks and feels strong and should last as long as my old Leifheit Linomatic. I recommend a protective sheath to cover the line once it is collapsed to protect it against inclement weather. Overall, a very good buy.

Washing line
Excellent. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Easy to install and the design is fab, no trailing lines and so easy to use. Very slick and well made - I have received many favourable comments. Worth the extra money

Excellent rotary dryer.
The easy up model is a dream to use. Pull the toggle and up it pops to the first click or beyond if needed. Plenty of hanging space with alternatives for using hangers safely and securely and when its all done its a simple press of the button to let it down nice and controlled so the hanging wires fold away to stay clean and tangle free. Its solid, well made and engineered well with what look to be quality parts so it can stay outdoors in all weathers.

Best Rotary even though a little expensive but worth the money.
Great product, very well made. It was more difficult to install than I had anticipated, due to concreting in the base pole which I didn’t expect having to do.
