Ryobi A99HT2 Ryobi A99DLK4 Mortise Wood Metal Door Hinge Installation Kit for Bolt and Lock Installation

Bought this because I had to hang 5 doors in my house. The product itself is decent enough but a big draw back is that it's designed with the American Market in mind, so the door lock jig is not suitable for most internal door setups Imo. The latch is fine but the hole saw for the handle is way too big unless your fitting a massive door knob or a front door lock, but even then seems quite big. So that basically makes it 50% useless. The other jig and honestly the part I bought the set for is really good. The depth gauge is very handy and the adjustable hinge size is great but it also needed to be adjustable in the other axis to be excellent as the 3 inch hinge i used was smaller then the cut out the jig provides. This issue is easily solved by placing a small spacer at the back of the jig. I also like how u can switch between the round corner or square corner for different types of hinges but again an adjustable axis would make this great as the round corners won't work if u need to add a spacer. With that said the hinge depth comes out really well and as close to perfect as you can get. I've hung a lot of doors over the years and thought this was definitely a better alternative to the free hand routing technique I've used for years. My recommendation would be to buy the the hinge jig on its own as the door lock jig could cause you problems if you're not too familiar with locking out doors yourself as you could end up with a hole that's too big for your handles. would give the hinge jig 4 stars but the lock jig only 2 because of the issues I've stated above.

Bought this to do a load of doors. Hinge jig is fine and saves time and effort as opposed to hammer and chisel but the door handle jig is too big for uk doors. Most latches will not cover the holes created.If you buy in UK just go for the hinge jig forget about the handle one.

this jig doesn’t work for your typical hinges in the uk from Howdens, B&Q & wickes. the cut out would be too deep. the length & thickness is fine but the cut out is too deep across the thickness of the door.

The sizing is wrong for standard UK hinges forthe door hinge template. Do not buy it. Annoyingly I took too long to open it and try it so I can’t return it. Wasted my money. They shouldn’t be selling it in the UK

We won a free door slab but it wasn't cut. It's like a $2K door, so we were super nervous about ruining it. Bought this kit and a few hours later our door is perfectly hung and we are SO thrilled. Thank you :-)

Have installed many door hinges over the years, wish I had this at the time.Just hung 14 new doors and this tool saved me many hours.If it wears out i will purchase another.

This kit is an extremely well thought out device that enables the user to easily and accurately mortise the door for hinges and bore the holes for the doorknob and lock. Even with no prior experience, I breezed through the job with no problems.

For a inexpensive item it works quite well. Probably for only occasional use. Door casing gets in way of layout tool but works fine before trim out
