Don't buy the new Pyrex
I bought these because I like the fact they are made with the same glass as the old Pyrex not the new stuff. I don't heat too many things in my measuring cups but taking a chance with the new Pyrex measuring cups is not worth it. I have had zero problems with the quality of this measuring cup and like using it. Worth the extra money for the piece of mind for when you do heat things up in it.

Excellent tool for the kitchen
This is a top-notch 4-cup clear glass measuring cup that can be used to measure liquids or mix batters or liquid ingredients. It has metric and US gauges, which are quite useful. When pouring from this or any other full container, simply take your time so that the spout is not overwhelmed. As to the heatproof qualities, I have brought water to a boil in the microwave using this container, and have ladled in other hot liquids directly from a pot on the stove. As advertised, this measuring cup held firm.

Item received NOT Arcusine brand
Item listed with product location as UK; shipped instead from Australia. Not item listed (O Cuisine vs. Arcuisine). Purchased because Arcuisine's reputation and material being borosilicate glass. Who knows what they sent me -

Excellent item. The Borosilicate glass means temperature resistant
Excellent item. The Borosilicate glass means temperature resistant, no cracking, breaking or spontaneous combustion that you get from the regular tempered glass ones. I highly recommend Borosilicate Glass items...and I will never use anything in my kitchen that is not Borosilicate Glass. It's well worth the cost.

Not Arcuisine! (But still nicer than Pyrex)
Be aware!! This is NOT an Arcuisine product (at least, the quart measuring cup is not arcuisine.) It is "O Cuisine." (it IS made in France however, and nicer than Pyrex.)

Nice replacement for the once great Pyrex brand
Great measuring cup you don't have to worry about exploding like the once great pyrex brand. Very readable graduation lines.

American standard side is inaccurate
Keep in mind that it is even printed on the container that the measurements are approximate capacities. Measuring cups for the kitchen, be they dry or liquid, don't need to be lab-accurate but I'd expect them to be at least within 5%. The American standard side was off by 10% (a difference of 20 grams, or ~1.5 tablespoons). Fortunately the empirical side was spot on so I'll continue to use the cup, but it is a little frustrating to find out I was only spending money on the quality glass rather than a quality measuring cup. That being said, it is nice to know that I can boil water in this thing without exploding. Three stars because it is still functional.

Borosilicate is the best!
This is what Pyrex should be, This measuring cup is exactly the same thickness and weight as the Pyrex (U.S.) version, Only this is borosilicate glass- Far superior than Soda lime glass, It has a bluish hue as opposed to the more clear Pyrex glass. Trust me, This is the one you want
