A Christmas Carol: The Graphic Novel

I say well done! I had to read both the classic version of A Christmas Carol and the graphic novel version for my Writing class as a freshman in college. While the original one was good, I found this one to much more entertaining and the illustrations are very well made. I love the story of old Ebenezer Scrooge and I felt that I could grasp so much more from reading this graphic novel version than the original one. It saves so much time and I believe I could gather what I gathered from the classic through the graphic novel version. I felt that it was a great depiction and this novel is so very nice. It is appropriate for all ages of readers and I would recommend to all for the morals learned through this story. Great novel!

I've read a few other versions of "A Christmas Carol," and what I found most lacking in all of them was illustrations. I don't have that problem with this version; every sentence is illustrated, in color!Unfortunately, not every sentence from the original novel is included, but it does read more completely and accurately than I would have expected, for what amounts to a "comic book!"There are historical and theatrical sections included as special features.

The work that went into this graphic novel is very impressive. The time and exquisite detail in preserving the feeling, tone and even nuances of illustrating the spirits in the scenes - bravo.I had purchased a few cheap illustrated versions of A Christmas Carol for Kindle and was let down. This version had me glued to every page to enjoy again this Dicken's classic in a graphic novel format.

This a great book to have and read!! It tells the story and show's the characters in color and its well drawn out!!! Buy two so you'll have one for yourself and one for the kid's!! You can even act out the different scenes with each other and enjoy the story even more!! Amazon has the best prices on this book, new and used!!

My daughter really likes graphic novels, and this one really helped her better understand the novel which she is reading for her class.

This is the second classic comic that I have read, and I find this one of the best graphic adaptations I have read so far. The original text is faithful to the novel; the illustrations are excellently done (something that can rarely be achieved by other collections); and the additional information may be useful to understand the social and cultural contexts of the novel.I think other readers will love it too.

Great, graphic novel of A Christmas Carol. It's a whole new take on the story!

Love this. I’ve collected the various editions of the movie over the years and was interested to see this. There are two versions of it, a long one and a shorter one. I got the one with the original text and it looks fantastic. Illustrations are top notch and it’s glossy and well produced. A good purchase
