Sam the Cooking Guy: Awesome Recipes & Kitchen Shortcuts

I recently moved to a VERY tiny condo with a VERY tiny kitchen. I bought this book because it looked like it had some great ideas for things I could actually put together without too much preparation. This book did not disappoint. It just came today so I have to admit I haven't actually cooked anything from it but I can't stop flipping thru it. Everything looks so tasty and most can be prepared in minutes. I love Sam's easy breezy attitude, too. This is my first of his books and now I want to purchase more.

Easy recipe cook book I bought for my son . He watches Sam the cooking guy on YouTube and loves trying his recipes . Book was in very good condition even though it was used.

I have had this book for about 4 months & probably have tried, at least, half of the recipes & they are all delicious & so simple to make. I love not having to go out & purchase some weird ingredient that I will never use again. I'm in the process of purchasing another one of Sam The Cooking Guy's book.

Sam the cooking guy has entertained us and shown us that cooking does not have to be difficult to be good. Many times he has opened my eyes to a grocery item or new ways to use a grocery item (such as wonton wrappers baked to create a simple snack similar to a pita chip). He is candid about when you can use a low fat item without sacrificing flavor and when it just is not worth compromising. Healthy food is great but the most important thing is that you eat well. Good food that people enjoy.

Wow! I really like the commentary, just as if the author is there talking to you. I like that part actually even more than the recipes, although those are swell too. I have food allergies, so was looking for a cookbook that might have some recipes that contained the very limited ingredients I can use, and this book does include numerous simple (few ingredient) recipes (along with plenty of others for those people who do not have my allergies) I can actually try, so I am very happy with this book. Also some amusing photos. Completely worth your time!

I have bought both of the "Sam the Cooking Guy" books and a big fan of the show. What I like is the recipes are simple and very good. His web site has some recipes and a few videos you can check out to get a idea of the style. Every recipe is easy to follow and emphasizes simplicity and easily obtainable ingredients.

I came across Sam on Fit TV and was immediately hooked. I love the quirky "indie filmmaking" feeling and awesome graphics. The show takes place in his very own kitchen with his dogs, family and camera man making appearances from time to time. This makes it really fun. No ego here. He is a perfect combination of "down to earth" and "off the chain" but in a good way. Check out his moment with Kathy Lee and Hoda on youtube, the morning show. I LMAO. He beats to his own drum and I respect that.I have been greatly inspired by Sams use of healthy "prepared foods" found in most decent grocery stores, with the addition of fresh ingredients typically "on hand" in most refrigerators.My knife skills have improved since tuning in to his show and I have learned an easy way to peel garlic by using one of his knife techniques. Duh! Sam says, "yeah, you can use a garlic press but, I like the "cooking part of cooking". Well said, brother.As a testament to his talent, I gave his cookbook as a gift to 5 friend/family members this past Christmas. From beginner level to well qualified cook. I only gave a 4 star rating above because people... to really "get him" is to see him live on TV. Find a way. Book is great for peeps who don't want to screw around all night cooking and want to eat healthy. I have a folder for recipes on my desktop now titled STCG. You figure it out! Love me some Sam!
