I ordered these pencils, knowing they would not have the names of the colors on them, but the pictures are very deceiving. I wasn't too concerned as the box showed the colors and in the pictures, the color of the pencil seems to match the tip. The pencils I received are a shimmery metallic color on the pencil so they do not match the tip and without the labels, it is difficult to tell what color you are getting. (My black pencil is a shimmery blue color-pretty, but difficult to tell apart from the 10 other blues I got!) There is also a list of the colors on the back of the box, but my set of 36 was missing a few of those colors and had several extra random colors in it. The last picture shows rounded pencils, but I did get ones that are hexagonal for grip. Upon closer inspection, it seems as though the images used to advertise are stock photos. The box is accurate though and you do get a cheap brush and sharpener.

Love these pencils. Just got them today. They are easy to use, the colors are wonderful, and blend so well. The only thing that got to me was sharpening all of them at one go. I have arthritis and I think that was the problem rather than the pencils. I used them dry and I was very pleased with the results. Since I am so new to this medium I am anxious to see how they work using water. I will definitely buy these again.!

It's ok, Leads hard and have to press so hard, it makes my hand hurt. Color is great. Pencils have pearlized color on outside of pencil, not matching the actual color of pencil, which is confusing! I picked up a set of 50 Crayola pencils at the craft store, I give them a 5 star rating! After using Crayola, I give these a 2 star rating. So check out the Crayola's!

If you are looking for vibrant colors these are not what you want. The pencils are frosted with metallic paint on the outside making it nearly impossible to tell what the color is. Also the box shows there is a "cherry red" color but there isn't any pencil that is darker than a deep pink color. If you wanted to color fuschias this would be a nice box of pencils.

Have to press down harder than I expected but they are okay. I think I will move to ink rather than pencil in the future

I really like these pencils. They are softer than the previous ones I had and that will be much better for coloring. The range of colors if pretty good for a small set.

WOW!!! I love these watercolor pencils. I have never used any before and these are a breeze to use. The colors are rich and deep. I would definitely recommend these to friends and family.

Nice feel to them and easy to use.
