Sleep position belt for sleep related breathing disorders: slumber bump is a very simple solution to a complex snoring ailment affecting millions. Studies have shown that the over 80 percent of the people suffering from mild to moderate snoring can see results from a positional based device like the slumber bump. Slumber bump effectively keeps patients who suffer from snoring while sleeping on their back by helping them to sleep on their side which counteracts gravity and can help prevent the collapsing of the airway. Slumber bump sleep belts offer a non-invasive, affordable, and comfortable alternative to cap therapy for those with mild to moderate snoring concerns.

Very helpful product!
My husband has tried cpap and a mouth appliance for sleep apnea which is only a problem when he lies on his back. (No apnea and good oxygenation when he lies on either side, but in the testing, they make you lie on your back to be sure you're safe if you do sleep that way even occasionally.) He struggled with cpap, and the mouth appliance wakes him up with a jaw ache. That the appliance will create an under bite isn't desirable either! He told the doctor he didn't want to keep trying adjustments to make the mouth appliance work, and then she suggested the SlumberBump. We tried stuffing tennis balls in a fanny pack and he wore it around his chest like the SlumberBump, to see if it helped prevent apnea. To my ears, it worked. We got him a slumber bump, which is a lot more comfortable and stays in place better than the thin strap of the fanny pack. Then he begged me to try out a Slumber Bump, because I snore when I lie on my back. The fanny pack with tennis balls test worked for me, too, but is pretty uncomfortable. Now I've ordered my own SlumberBump. I wish people with mild sleep apnea when lying on their backs were offered SlumberBumps rather than costly and not great alternatives. If you have moderate or severe sleep apnea, YES, treat it so it doesn't kill you! But, do we really need to treat every one with cpap first? We know it is uncomfortable to get used to - and it does require daily cleaning. The mouth appliances are next measure - but are really imperfect. This is a simple solution for his apnea, and is being bothered by my snoring. My snoring doesn't bother me a bit!

Good quality
I really liked the idea of this slumber bump. I really wanted it to work as well for me as my CPAP did, but it just isn't quite as effective for me. I do not have sleep apnea when I sleep on my sides, but I don't feel as rested when I use the slumber bump only. Beyond that personal issue, this is very well made, and not that bad to sleep with. You definitely have to find a good spot around your body to wear it, make sure it's comfortable enough to sleep in. But once you find that spot, you're all set.

My doctor recommend I get a device that would force me to sleep on my side before I try a sleep machine. It might work for others but I truly just move a whole lot when I sleep; therefore, it would slip down to my belly (I don't have a six pack but I'm not big in that area) causing me to turn on my back. I woke up of course and felt like a ninja turtle. I would recommend this product to have shoulder straps.

but this seemed like one of the few that actually addressed the problem
I am normally a side sleeper, but occasionally I'll roll onto my back, and when that happens, I snore. I looked into numerous anti-snoring remedies, but this seemed like one of the few that actually addressed the problem. I've been using it now for a few weeks, and it certainly works. My snoring has dwindled to virtually nil, and I'm noticing a better night's sleep as well. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because, although the velcro strap is fairly comfortable, the edging does have a fairly heavy seam, and it is occasionally irritating. Overall, though, I am very happy with the purchase, as it has definitely helped me.

Ok, but not perfect.
It doesn't stay tight when they roll around at night. I have had two people use it.

Just like a cheap air mattress... stopped holding air after 5 months
For the most part it does prevent sleeping on the back however, after 5 months of use the bladder no longer holds air. We purchased a new bladder until we find a new solution that will provide the same support for a longer period of time.

Durability is not impressive
This product looks give an impression that its very durable but actually it did not impress me, I bought this for my son and it did not take very long, the inflatable bladder inside is already deflating, I try to find what is the problem could not figure out, I keep inflating and soon after is deflating again. Thinking to buy the replacement Bladder but not sure if I will, maybe same problem again.
