These shade are super dark, but there is a way to lighten them up, since this is double ply you can remove the extra dark plastic and just keep the screen.

I dont know if I got something that was defective, but this is extremely poor quality! It does not stay on the window, and is bent so awkwardly that it does not block out the sun. I am very disappointed. After 1 minute it falls down completely. It is difficult to even put it up and all the fabric sags down in the middle. I have a compact car and it doesnt even cover 70% of the back window.

Difficult to get them to cling to the window initially. Left a plastic film on the window when left on for a day.

It didnt come with suction cups so no way to stick it to your window. I also have a Honda CRV and even if it had the suction it was WAYYYY too large to fit in the back window. Dont waste your money
