This shoe came very well rated by others. Not for me. I finally took out the insole, and, finally enjoyed the walk. $275 is rediculous ! Truly one time only. My Altra Lone Peaks are better in every way and cost less than half, ($119)...the Hoka Walker is over rated, over priced,and , and a one timer .

I have been battling weight issues for most of my adult life and have very rarely found a sneaker that could both support my weight and allow me to exercise at the same time without ruining the sneakers very quickly, the Hoka One One Gaviota 2 are a pure blessing, thanks you Hoka One One, you have a customer for life!

I purchased this brand on the recommendation of a co-worker. I'm a nurse who averages about 12k-15k steps a day. These shoes were very comfortable and were great for walking all day, (personally I need inserts for any shoe). They started tearing apart approximately 5 months after purchasing. I stubbornly wore them an additional month because I spent over $200 on them. I will not be buying this brand again as $200+ for shoes every 6 months isn't really a smart choice for me.
