Kenzo Hardcover – October 26, 2010

I purchased this book because the cover's fabric caught my eye in stores. I had only heard of Kenzo a few times before I got the book, which led me to discovering more about this fashion house and designer.The book is beautiful. The pop-ups are amazing (Sadly, one or two of mine have ripped in small places. Not sure if I received it like that or it happened while looking through it.) and the colors and design are great. There are short histories and commentary about the different designers, but it's mainly about the pictures. It's a very inspirational and beautiful book. I definitely recommend it if you're one to appreciate cultural and diverse design.

I have to say that i was expecting a little more from this book than what it delivered. I agree with the product description that it has great elements including a pop up section and some interesting photographs but it is a little short on content and i was hoping that it would feature far more of the mens wear collection. Also be aware that because of the pop up elements the pages of the book that i received were a little bent and the cover was slightly warped in places because of the packing.

Spectacular and unusually detailed book. I have given two as gifts to special friends. They both love it! The covers vary so don't be surprised. All the designs are beautiful.

This book is perfect for anyone who wants a bold pictorial collection of Kenzo's work. The fold out pictures are great and the images they used are perfect.

This a visually beautiful book detailing the different collections created by Kenzo over the past decades.The book is beautifully produced with full color photos revealing the beauty of the garments illustrated,since Kenzo is famous for the use of combinations of bright colors. The book also has multiple fold-outs, but these should be handled carefully as they might be easily teared. All in all a worthy addition to any collection of fashion books and makes a great coffee-table book.

Book so amazing! Interesting pictures, pop up pages, interview etc. Very inspirational! I recommended this book to Kenzo and Marras fans.

I sent for this book having read some splendid reviews elsewhere. As a textiles tutor I was keen to get my hands on it and see it for myself. I love Kenzo's perfumes, his design style and wonderful patterning. Whilst the book is visually splendid, colourful bright and yes that pop up is unique, it still left me somewhat disappointed. For a book this large and expensive there just isn't enough text to back up the photos, especially given the credentials of some of the contributers. A very scant couple of biographies at the back and a few pages of questions and answers - no indepth commentary or analysis at all. This I feel is more of a coffee table book for people who devour designers fashions - not for anyone who wants to know more about how Kenzo goes about the design process, his thoughts or feelings or his contribution to textiles overall. If it wasn't for the sheer weight of the book and the postage costs involved, I would definately send it back.

Opening this book was like entering the " wardrobe". You'll find a pleasant surprise as you turn each pages. The beautiful & colourful pages just like Kenzo's collection which chronicled his past works for those who may have forgotten who he was and Antonio Marras take over of the house was the perfect continuem to Kenzo's legacy with a modern twist. A perfect balance of past and present. I always check out Marras' latest collection. I'm so glad I got this book and not to mention the delivery was also surprisingly quick.

Fantastic book, overflowing with beautiful pictures of designs, fashion drawings, photo shoots, print designs. There are fold out pages with enlarged images, a pop up page. Its full of inspiration, and a very special book, I am very happy with my purchase.

I was expecting to find detailed pictures of the clothes, historical review about the brand. What I found is strange blurred illustrations (80% of the book). For me this book was a waste of money.
