i use this as a purse during the week, and a day-hike pack on weekends. it has a zip pocket and a flap pocket in front, a zip pocket in the back, and a size zipper that opens the whole inside. the straps zip together to make one purse strap for slinging over the shoulder, and then unzip to make two for wearing as a backpack. it fits very comfortably with the bottom resting just above my lower back. its hard to tell from the photo how big it will be when you are wearing it - on most people it would not be visible from the front.the leather got some scuffs on the corners the first time i used it, but it still looks nice enough.

I love this bag, its just the right size to hold the necessities. I would definitely recommend it to others and I would bury it again.

I read the reviews about women using this backpack as a purse/carryall, "handy for school" etc, no where did it say this thing is a TOY. It's a backpack that would fit a teddy bear or maybe a smaller American Girl doll. No way this is a usable backpack for any human of normal stature. Once you really delve pages into the description you find the size written in centimeters. After converting these dimensions, you realize this this about the size of a pencil case. Waste of money, waste of time, unless you want a toy backpack.
