Easy to use, sits on kitchen unit
I love this product. It arrived quickly.Product looks stylish and sits on kitchen surface for accessibility. It is fantastically easy to use. I bought it in order to save on buying fizzy water and diet cokes to prevent plastic waste. I use the product once or twice per week. The gas cannister is expensive but I have not needed to replace this yet and it is easy to buy different be flavours to add to the water in base. I love it!

Get busy with the fizzy!!
After reading many of the reviews on here I was dubious about spending the money on it. Well, I needn't have been! I am a Pepsi Max ONLY drinker. I don't drink anything else and as you can possibly imagine I spend a fortune each week on my weekly supply. I haven't used sodastream since I was a kid - and that was many years ago!! I didn't even know if they still did them, so I was delighted to find it here on Amazon. As I said, I read the reviews and REALLY wasn't sure if I should buy it, but threw caution to the wind and ordered one with the resolve that if I didn't like it, it WOULD go back! So it arrived and in all honesty I didn't open the package for a couple of days - I was dreading it to be a failure. Then I did open it. I'd already watched the video on how to use it so assembled it in no time and set about making my first bottle of Pepsi Max. Being a cautious whimp that I am, I was nervous about pressing the button to carbonate it and my first few attempts produced NO fizz - all my fault. I introduced my youngest (17) to the gadget and told him how to basically use it - He had no problem whatsoever getting a fizzy drink. I kept trying as I'd seen he'd been able to do it and after he suggested I may not have been screwing the bottle of water on tight enough, I did it again and WOW!! I'm as happy as a pig in the proverbial!! As for folks saying the flavour is wrong - I do not agree. As I said, it's all I drink and have done for years so believe me I would have been able to tell the difference if it was not good. The only thing I would say is that I had to experiment with just how much syrup to pour in to get the taste correct and established for my liking that I use just under half a cap of the syrup. So peeps, go for it!! I didn't regret it, even after being concerned that I would! It's great, tinker with the flavouring until you get the taste you prefer and you're there!!

Easy to use
Easy to use , my husband is a cola addict and I wanted to reduce the amount of plastic he was going through and because his brand of cola is now made for soda stream I thought this was an ideal choice in gift last Xmas turns out we are saving money as well as reducing plastic, He even bought a little sofa stream bottle to take out with him win win

Not bad. Reasonably cost effective.
Construction is high density plastic, but then plenty of your kitchen tools probably are these days.I tend to like my water with high CO2 charge (5 pumps/ltr.) so 1 tank will produce about 50 ltr. or so used in this way.Not counting the capital cost of the machine itself, 1 tank at £17.00 runs your cost at about £0.34 per litre.I use a lot of sparkling water, this device saves me the trouble of lugging multiple cases home and up the flights of stairs.Judging solely on a cost-effective basis: for those who don't require a high volume of sparkling H2O, it may not save you a fortune. But you’re reducing your output of junk plastic, always have a ready supply of fizziness and (surprisingly) my local water source actually tastes a little better than most brands on the market.Very easy to set up and use.

Cost saving measure for your fizzy drinks
Bought this to save on the amount of cans we were buying for the kids and its proved a brilliant buy. The flavours today are much better than those from years ago. The brand ones taste just like the real thing (pepsi max, sprite etc). There are other flavoured syrups you can try of course but they seem to be a bit pricey to buy. You can find the basic syrups in most supermarkets at a decent price. More bespoke flavours (raspberry, strawberry, etc) are on websites (Amazon included), but do tend to be a bit costly. For us the sodastream was an excellent buy and refills are easy to get and cheap if you return the old bottle.

Elegant design, works great
I bought this for my parents to stop them buying bottled sparkling water. I thought it would be tricky to convince them but they absolutely love it. It looks tall and elegant in the kitchen, is very easy to use, and creates restaurant standards sparkling water from tap water. We like the water very sparkly so use 3-4 pumps of gas in each bottle. I’m interested to see how long to gas bottle lasts, but either way it looks very simple to replace.

Super easy to use and takes up little space
Bought for my boyfriend , helps reduce the amount of plastic bottles he was buying of sparkling water. He loves it. Super easy to use and really fizzes up your water. He used to buy those big 6packs of bottles and I would be tripping over them! I now have more space in the kitchen. Win Win :)

Fantastic machine
I love being able to make my own sparkling water, I would recommend buying a small bottle to make the sparkles as the litre size tends to use more gas
