Fun and quick strategy game
My family has played this a couple of times and I already feel like it is going to be a quick go to game. The pieces are a good quality, and gameplay can be different every time.Pieces:The cardboard is really thick and the colors on the fruit are bright. The ants are wood with bright colors as well. You have to put the zebra stickers on the white ant, if you play with LEGO’s, this should be familiar. If not, use a slow and steady hand for placement. One drawback, our purple ant arrived with the antenna broke off, but I would say it was just a one off issue and will glue it back on myself. There are multiple baggies provided to keep the pieces organized as you store them.Gameplay:Collect fruit, wine or chocolate on your way to the anthill. No one is in charge of a single ant, rather you are free to move any ant you wish to the fruit of their color. Simple and competitive. We play with our 5 and 9 year old sons. And in about 20 minutes, you are done.We really enjoy this game.

Surprises Await
Rules are fairly easy to figure out... Used an online video to review rules and taught family how to play in very short order. Surprisingly more strategic than it appears. Good game length. Played with 3,4 and 5 people and playing time was just right. Easy to recommend! Very high quality components.

Ants Game
This game is fun for the whole family. Trying to get your ants to the anthill with pieces of food is so fun. With all the pieces involved, don't think it would do very well traveling, esp on an airplance. But once you got to where you were going it would be fine. Gave this as a Christmas gift to our nieighbor kids - 14, 12 and 9.

Good Game, Shoddy Components
As others have mentioned, the ants are broken. My game had three broken ants. Seeing all the reviews, I didn’t bother to return the game, as I would just get more broken ants. I glued them together the best I could. The game is fine. Very simple and quick. Ideal for families and/or as a filler game.

Looks great on the table, fun and engaging, stategic without feeling too heavy
I backed this game in it's starting days on Kickstarter. Very happy it got funded and is what it is today. The gameplay is easy, but the game is much deeper than it appears. The cute theme and table presence drew in some family members who otherwise don't play games much and they really enjoyed it as well. You have a lot of decisions to make without it feeling too thinky or overwhelming. You can only plan your moves so far in advance, but don't count on them - it's easy for someone else to throw a wrench in your plans since everybody can control any ant. Since the "board" is always changing and you can't count on it going the way you thought in your head it keeps your interest the entire time. Not knowing how the ants will line up for scoring is so fun and cool and makes the end a scramble to get what you want in the right position. The cards that add varients keep it interesting too. There's a lot of game here.As another reviewer also mentioned, our copy did arrive with some broken ants, but I contacted the publisher and they made it right immediately. I appreciate good customer service. I have been a repeat customer from this publisher purchasing their game storage/travel bag and 2 other games - Mountain Goats and Sequoia - they consistently put out nice products.

Great production quality, great family game, great "board-gamer" game, great fun!
From the double-sided tokens to the big ant meeples, the production quality on this one is great. We own over 200 board games, and this is one of them. My husband and I enjoy playing, and we also play with our two young children (5 & 8 yr.old). They live it, too. This is not your typical roll-and-move game. On your turn, you can move any ant to the next token that matches it's color, and then you collect a token that is nearby. When ants get to the anthill at the end of the track, the order in which they arrive dictate how many points the matching color tokens are worth. The cards slightly change the rules every game, so you can have a new experience every time. For beginners or young players, you can chose to use the same cards every time. We've played this game 7 times since we've gotten it, and we've all won at least once. The 5-year-old won two games! This is a great family game, or a great game for groups of any age. Also a good game for an all-adult game group, as you can chose to play cards that really ramp up the strategy. If you buy two copies, you can combine them to play "Double Bites" and make an extra-long token track.Lots of fun! Highly recommend.
