🌟 Grow Green, Grow Smart!
The Pure Coconut Coir Netted Seed Starting Pellets are a sustainable and renewable alternative to traditional peat plugs. Each pellet measures 42mm in diameter and expands to 2 inches tall when hydrated, providing a high water holding capacity and excellent aeration for seedlings. Designed to minimize root loss and transplant shock, these pellets are perfect for professional growers and gardening enthusiasts alike.

Used in fish tank
I use them in a fresh water fish tank to plant cuttings. They work great, and do not harm the fish or foul the water like peat would. Plants recognize them as soil and root into them. I allow them to absorb water and inflate, then remove about 1/5 of the coir and discard. Put a few rocks in the bottom to make them sink, and add a fertilizer tab, the plant, and use a small rubber band to hold the top together. Bury in the bottom and forget about it. No problems!

Expensive now...
The price has increased 4.00 in the past 4 months. It was a better value when they had it priced at 19.00, when I first purchased it. I don't understand why they increased the price so much though...it might not be a good value if they keep raising the price for the same amount of product. 😕That being said, it was the first time I used these particular coir pots and I have to say they work extremely well. All but 4 (out of 45) pepper plants sprouted, and they look great. I will purchase these one more time, but if they keep raising the price I'll get them elsewhere.

Great for first time growers!
These were really easy to use, I’d never used starting pellets before, these are awesome. I’d wanted to transfer them to some 2” pots when they were ready to leave the greenhouse trays, but they’re a hair too tall for them, I’ll probably go with some 4” pots. I planted lavender, basil, lemon balm, spearmint and peppermint, and they all sprouted! A wonderful product.

Perfect for growing vegetables
These worked great

Great for big seedlings
These are much better than your standard jiffy seeds. Extra height means extra length , few extra days those little baby seeds can stay in their little coco fiber pellet home. Very nice! Borat approves a great success!

Much harder to grow anything in
I was really happy to find peat pellets that were made with coconut coir rather than peat, since peat is an endangered resource. But it turned out to be incredibly hard to grow anything in these. They tended to dry out really quickly, and the plastic netting never did biodegrade, even though it was supposed to. I would not use these again.

Bag is too tough, Roots can't/won't penetrate it.
So I had to test this out well before I wrote my review and I'm glad I did. At first, everything seemed awesome, seed sprouted and grew well. A bit of a stretch but that's because I had my lights too far away. No, the problem is when my plant turned out to be a male, I uprooted it and looked at the root system before throwing it away. The roots literally grew up out of the hole in the bag and then down from there. Almost NO ROOTS PENETRATED the bag! And the bag did NOT decompose one bit in the 6 weeks it was under ground. And if you have to cut the bag off when transplanting, well you might as well just grow in a plastic pot because cutting the bag off will cause transplant shock (I tried it also). So I have most of the product left and honestly, I'm just going to open all the bags and just use the coir by itself. What a waste.
