Works very well. The screw is long enough that after the cork is removed it is easy to grab and twist off! A number of the cheaper Corkscrews have to short a screw portion making it hard to grab and remove the cork. Nicely made with a nice chrome finish.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. I've had this wine opener less than 2 months, and the stem above the screw snapped in half when I was opening a bottle of wine. I was suspicious of the quality when I first received it because it was so lightweight. Now I'm having trouble contacting the company to get a refund on my "lifetime guarantee."

This bottle opener seems to be of decent quality and it works as expected for synthetic corks. My issue is that the actually "screw" bit is more like a twisted blade than a spiral-wound skewer (which most corkscrews are). While this looks awesome, it will destroy most natural corks you use it on, forcing you to push the remainder of the cork into your bottle in order to access your beverage.

I was looking for a wine opener that was sturdy. I had broken several and was getting frustrated. I tried all types - from battery operated to manual. I read the reviews online and they were all positive. What really caught my attention was the lifetime guaranty. When I received the opener, I was impressed with how well-made it was. Plus, it easily opened my wine bottles. I couldn't be happier -finally a sturdy wine opener. Now I can enjoy my wines!

Purchased this thinking it would be the last opener I would ever need. The corkscrew broke off and when I tried to exercise the lifetime warranty, POOF, De Rigueur is gone!

It will pill a cork so I gave it a two but it destroys every cork you pill. The shaft of the screw is to large. Don't plan on reusing the cork aftger using this puller.

We have used this for a couple of weeks now and it performs well. I have no complaints about the opener. There are a couple of things, not related to the opener itself, that I found a little distressing: First, it didn't have the foil cutter that was supposed to come with it and, second, it appears to be exactly the same opener as the iPow, which is $6.00 cheaper. Since I don't use a foil cutter, the first item has no impact on me. However, I have an iPow and they look the same to me except for the label and the black cardboard storage box.If I had known they were the same, I would have just bought a second iPow.
