I have changed my review. I didn't know how to properly clean this skillet and I caused it to rust. However, its easy to restore with oil and baking. And now that I know how to clean it (hot water, salt and a wooden spoon) Its actually really easy to clean. We are enjoying the skillet!

We carefully followed seasoning procedures, only to learn that anything that is cooked with even only medium high heat, or higher, solidifies on the cast iron surface. Removing these solids requires much more effort that simply wiping it clean. It requires scraping off the solids, which essentially removes much or all of the seasoning under the solids. With the solids removed, a carbonized film remains which requires a strong dish washing detergent to clean off. Carbonized film contains carcinogens; which are, obviously unhealthy and would be transferred to the next food cooked on the same surface if not thoroughly removed.In addition, the stainless steel ring around the glass top does not prevent condensation buildup from leaking out onto the stove/countertop/floor when the top is removed and inverted.Also, the rubber/silicone lid handle frequently loosens from the lid, making it likely to separate if not constantly retightened.Finally, the two handles are too close to the body of the pan, making it unsafe to lift it while the pan is on the hot burner/heating element.We do not recommend purchasing this product.

I appreciate the lighter weight as I don't have great strength in my wrists. Also like it doesn't have a long handle so easier to store and the two side handles make it easier to handle.

I love cooking in this pot, everything tastes so wonderful!

this is just not good quality product, all it does is oxidize.

I thought Lodge was supposed to be one of the best but this is my worst cast iron pan. Everything sticks to this pan when I cook in it, despite being seasoned 4 times (on top of the pre-seasoning). To be thorough I also sanded off the pre-seasoning (I hate pre-seasoning), and seasoned it 4 times myself, plus did about an hour of deep-frying which tends to lock in, and solidify your seasoning. Despite all that,. everything sticks to this pan. Also I found there are a few pock marks in the iron when I sanded off the pre-seasoning. Those pock marks and some other imperfections imply that this was shoddily manufactured. I Have 3 other cast iron pans, and none of the iron on them look like the iron on this lodge pan. Not impressed at all, and I won't buy another cast iron pan from lodge

I love this pan. It's a bit lighter in weight than regular Lodge pans and is great for one pan hot dishes, braising and such.

I love cooking with cast iron skillet. 10 inch I had was not big enough. This one is in perfect size. And it is not very heavy.

I expected this pan to be bigger. I used it and it’s great.
