Review after a day of usage.
I'm not a native english speaker so please excuse any grammatical error you may find while reading this :).This is my first review so don't take it out on me if it fails to impress.Reason for the order/Shipping and packaging.I injuctively authorized this microphone because I wanted to practise some peregrine languages and inbuilt microphones/verbalizers just don't cut it for me. Shipping was fairly expeditious as I utilized the one day shipping(it came under a day). I didn't expect much from this because I have always utilized my inbuilt microphones and I never kenned there was anything after that. It came with frustration exempt packaging that says "we mean business and we ain't like those shitty aliexpress flipping ebay sellers" just as expected of "shipped and sold by amazon.com". There's one con though, there are two diminutive dents found on the stand that comes with this, it's probably caused by the rubbing of the wire guaze on the stand, I'm not repining because I'm not like all those overprivileged jews who find the most diminutive clause in terms of accommodations to get free stuffs and the quality of the product received is just too good to complain.Product QualityLet me start by saying this, this product is more sizably voluminous and heavier than what the image makes it seem. I kenned that I had hit the jackpot when I unboxed this(no unboxing images for you as I didn't expect to leave a review in the first place). It has two ports at the bottom for the USB cable and if a headphone which was very great in my case. The stand looks and feels like a german tank, it feels like what those SWAT members use to knock down doors(okay, this is an exaggeration). For real, the build quality is awe-inspiring. It has some knobs on both sides that do different things I won't explore here, there was one knob that's a pain to turn, I conjecture it was made that way because that one controls the direction of sound it picks up, no one optate it transmuting prematurely.Ease of useI don't use windows or a mac, I use archlinux(linux for lyfe). I did test it on a windows mahine and it was rudimentally plug and play, I connected an Audio Technica headphone to the headphone port and I could fundamentally utilize it from the get go. I went back to my linux machine and it was rudimentally identically tantamount, the only distinction was that the contrivance didn't require any adscititious setup unlike it did on windows. I plugged it in and it commenced working just like how a P does when it sees a V.Sound QualityThis one in particular cannot be extravagantly accentuated, it's so good that it makes your awful singing sound like that....awful(I ken you were expecting something else lol). It reproduces every sound with pellucidity and pin-point precision. It's so sensitive that I can heedfully auricularly discern conversations on my street and additionally heedfully auricularly discern music that's playing on my phone in the kitchen. This can be perturbing to some people who have neighbours, ones who fondue a lot. It's so good that I forsook the pristine purport of this microphone and commenced rapping to some mixtapes(screw concentration). If you can afford this, please buy it afore it gets discontinued. I'll be getting one for my cousin who's into sound engineering as a birthday gift. The End.

The Blue Yeti Sits at the top
Emily >>College Student>>Tech-EnthusiastHad the product for: 5 daysCondensed:This microphone has greatly increased the audio quality of all my videos and skype calls. The Blue Yeti microphone is a fantastic plug and play USB microphone. It’s easy to use, has a beautiful smooth design, and is great for versatile recording. It has exceeded expectations- I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good quality microphone for versatile use. What I use it for:I mainly use this microphone for live skype interviews and personal calls. One of the worst things imaginable is being on a skype call with a potential employer and them not able to understand you due to audio quality. I also use it for simple voice overs and studying purposes.Pros:1. Right out of the box- it felt sturdy and well made- no assembly require. Came pre attached to the stand and ready to use.2. Multiple controls right at your figure tips!-gain-mute-headphone volume-pattern selection-3. Sound Quality- blows my mac book and HP Chromebook microphones out of the water.4. Easy to use- the manual is fun and good for those who may not be as tech savvy.5. The stand base has pads on the bottom so it won’t scratch the surface you rest it onCons:1. Size- I have a terrible habit of not looking at the size of things before buying, and picture/videos can be very deceiving. This things is actually pretty big weighing in at 3.5 pounds 11.6 inches tall.Tips:-Buy a pop filter-Buy a desk boom arm (microphone has a bottom screw mount for one) saves desk space

Here's the thing - this is a great microphone for what it is and how much it costs. I was able to pick one up on a lightning deal for $89 and it's well worth that price, however, I've had a few problems with it from day one that have since been rectified. Let's start with the bad.Number one, I had to ship the first one back because one of the screws that holds the microphone into place was stripped out. This is not anyone's fault however it shows a possible cheapness in the product quality. Metal screws would not have stripped as easily as these screws. Otherwise the product is definitely sturdy and feels like it's a quality product. It has a nice weight to it and a really nice look to it. I do wish that the microphone had a mute button without a light on it. It actually is a bit confusing as to whether or not the mic is muted because you a red light would make you think it's muted -- not with this mic. It is not muted unless the light is blinking. Also, I really don't want another LED shining at my face while I work.Number two, the microphone itself sometimes has a hard time connecting with my iMac. Every once in a while the microphone will show up in my sound settings but it will not have any audio coming into the computer. I searched some internet forums and this is not uncommon. One workaround I have found is to open up my sound settings and leave them open - this seems to keep the mic working. Finally we can talk about the good and what should matter most when you are purchasing an expensive USB microphone and that is the sound quality -- it's excellent. If you are streaming a podcast or recording scratch audio for video production like I use it for, this microphone is really great. It has a great clarity that you would expect from a much more expensive microphone. I actually attended an SNL video editing workshop and the editor from Saturday Night Live said that there's been many occasions where the voiceover used in the spots they air on television were recorded at the editing station using this microphone.I definitely recommend getting this if you can afford it and you're looking for ways to improve your sound quality in a convenient package.Another tip, I use this mic while on FaceTime and phone calls from my computer and it sounds really nice and much better than the built in computer mic.

Amazing quality microphone for this budget!!!
It’s a really great microphone for people who are on a budget and looking to upgrade their voice over or video sound quality or even podcasts! Completely lives up to the blue yeti hype!! I am not a singer nor do I use it for singing purposes so won’t be able to comment on that.In terms of look and feel it gives off a luxe vibe really lovely setup with its inbuilt stand and this cool grey colour looks very premium and slick. This microphone coupled with free open source software audacity are match made in heaven for all your microphone sound quality needs! It has changed my voice over game, the voice is so clear, rich and succinct! definitely recommend this :) do watch out for discounts to get save more :)

Perfetto

Good price, good quality, good build.
Having bought this well over a year ago I haven't had any major issues. The simple plug in and use feature of the Blue Yeti is amazing. Not having to download different programs or use mixers to make the mic work is great. The microphone sound quality is good for a USB mic. It's not amazing but it's a USB mic so it's not going to be podcast level. Saying that however just talking to friends in discord or teamspeak it sounds great. No one has ever complained about the audio quality and it sounds infinitely better than a mic on your headset. The mic is well built and has lots of options on the mic body to mess with, such as gain-set this as low as possible for a good sounding mic, and the different options for where it picks up voices from. The mic does pickup background noise however not to the point where it becomes annoying.I would suggest buying a boom arm for this mic because it allows for a less intrusive gaming experience. The mic being big if left on your desk can be in the way along with the fact it will pick up vibrations through the desk. However due to the heaviness of the mic only a few boom arms can support this. For a plug and use experience you can't fault the Blue Yeti, coming in at a reasonable price and having good pickup and quality I definitely recommenced this as a great starting mic!
