My son (8yo) really likes Ron Roy's books, basically, he loves mystery solving. He loves the A-Z mysteries series by the same author. So I ordered this series for him as well. All the "Calendar Mysteries" books are good, he liked it. I also like how beautifully it teaches a "friendship" bond between the kids.The only thing I would recommend is that this series is perfect for younger kids (7 or below) that has stories with safe mystery finding, mild adventure stories, etc. For slightly older kids (8 and above), they may like the other series A - Z mysteries better, as that has little more involved mystery-solving that keeps them intrigued.

One of the books was not in new condition when it arrived. There is about a two-inch shredded section on the spine. The packaging was fine with no visible damage so it had to have been damaged prior to packaging. It's not worth requesting a return, but it's disappointing because this set is not cheap. Beyond that, the stories are great (5-Stars) and I'd recommend them and this author. Thanks!

This was a gift for an 8 year old girl who loves mysteries. For the price you would think they could include a box to hold them, but they are really enjoyable.

My four year old loves these books and the A to Z mysteries. She has listened to them over and over and over again.

Great set! There is a book for each month which is based on a holiday or activity that we associate with that month. It gives a child something to look forward to reading each month. There is also a book for New Year's Day.

My 7years boy love this books!

This is a great series for my 1st graders that wanted to read chapter books, but weren't ready for the harder ones yet. It's easier than A-Z Mysteries.
