B&K Precision815 Hand-held Component Tester

This meter has high checking values especially in the capacitance ranges. However, it will blow if the capacitors are not drained before checking them! Especially the high micro farad electrolytic s. I know I have 3 of these meters 2 are blown due to this fact!

Spent several hours researching electrical component testers, always came back to this one, it was wrapped safely, looks and works great ,has a thick rubber slip on or off housing protector ,thats really cool, glad we got this one, recommended .It doesn't do everything but it takes more then one devise to cover all the possabilitys, got it for my electrical engineering student son.

Yes l am very pleased with my purchase of course BK products in my opinion are without question the industries best.

Would not perform as expected.
